Hi everyone! I'm new here, so I thought I'd introduce myself and our story
Engagement:
My fiance and I are AP holders and visit the parks often. On Oct 1, 2010 we were visiting MK for MNSSHP (we LOVE MNSSHP!). I had an idea he was going to propose so it wasn't a total surprise, it was just a matter of where and when he was going to do it. We entered the park around 4pm and headed straight for Exposition Hall to watch some classic cartoons. Much to his dismay it was closed for refurb. I was later told that this was engagement plan 1. We hit some rides, collected some candy, and made our way to Fantasyland. Dressed as Alice we made our way to the teacups for some photos (this was plan 2). Again, closed for refurb. At this point he was probably feeling pretty defeated. We had a few hours left and I'm sure he was trying to concoct another plan. We rode Snow White, which broke down for about 10 minutes. We got in line for Peter Pan which broke down while we were in line. We got in line for the HM. YAY, the HM line was moving smoothly, everything was going great, and then, right before the staircase scene (the old spider room) the ride stops. My fiance, laughing, explained that he'd been trying all night to propose and he wasn't going to wait any longer. So there we were, in a doom buggy, on the 3rd ride in a row that had stopped, proposing to me. Nervous laughter and giddy giggles we were engaged. After the ride we posed for some pictures in front of the hearse (so romantic isn't it ) and called our families.
Honeymoon:
We just booked our honeymoon last weekend with a passholder email that gave us 40% off a deluxe resort! I tried to book the GF but no rooms were available. Instead, we've booked the WL. We're pumped to spend a whole week at Disney (we're day trippers). Can't wait to book our ADRs!!
