So, have they actually shown the plans for the new structure yet? Or is everyone simply assuming it will be a lot like the last plan, just with more access to Harbor?

There haven't been any updated plans released publicly yet that I'm aware. But the plans that they were showing during the town hall sessions from 2024 seemed to be almost identical to what was shown previously, albeit with some changes to address the concerns from the original project.

With the destruction of the building, I wonder if it will be a bigger structure. That building was under lease when the original plans were made and they couldn’t use that space.

That would be my guess too.

I suspect we’ll get a bit more info in an upcoming Parks Blog and then more concept art and such at D23.

In the latest article on this from the OC Register last week, they had this as the most recent Disney Company released artwork.

In short, it's cheap and ugly. Especially when you compare it to comparatively highly designed and aesthetically pleasing parking mega-structures now being finished a mile east of there at OCVibe.

Disney hasn't changed this plan since it was released as a cheap and ugly offering from Michael Colglazier and Bob Chapek a decade ago. This would be a great opportunity for Josh D'Amaro to prove he's worth the hype and his tailor's ability to customize his trousers as well as he does, and have Josh step in ASAP and at the very least get this ugly cement monolith turned into at least something as nice as what OCVibe is building.

They’ll probably slap an avatar, marvel, and Star Wars theme on it to make it “modern themed”. And by themed I just mean they’ll throw up a few pictures of the characters for the lot number signs

When that new fence along Disneyland Dr. started going in, I thought maybe it could temporary (and by that I mean under ten years) and be removed as necessary when they expanded DCA over to Simba. But seeing that it looks like they're pouring a continuous concrete foundation (or something) along the bottom of the fence has me wondering just how permanent they intend it. Not that they couldn't remove it still.

This is looking like a pretty serious fence, ie its meant to last. Which shows in my opinion that Simba is off the table at least in the short term (next 5-10 years).

So that would put any movement into Simba in the 2035 and beyond range, which is about what I figured.

Hear me out, it's possible that despite what was teased as part of Disneyland Forward, the Simba lot will be used solely for new hotel space and the Toy Story lot will be used for a third park. So DCA won't be expanded across Disneyland Drive which is why a more permanent fence is being built now.

This has been my stance as I just don’t see them passing on the opportunity to build a third gate on the Toy Story lot. Hoping for something like a West Coast World Showcase
