Has anyone noticed that hardly any of the chatter is surrounding the Avengers ride? I understand that we know where it’s going but I mean there seems to be very low anticipation/ interest in that ride. Might work in its favor.
What more is there to talk about? Until we get more details on the content there isn't much to talk about. We basically have talked about all aspects of what is known 10x over already.

I'm sure there will be more chatter once construction starts.

Plenty. We hardly know anything about the attraction itself. Where is the curiosity? Conjecture etc?

Start a conversation if you think there is something to talk about. :)

We basically know it'll be a trackless ride going through the multiverse with the Avengers fighting King Thanos in different times and locations in each scene. The expectation at this point is that at least King Thanos will be an AA, and maybe Hulk and a few others. But the rest will be screens.

So what more do you want to talk about or know?

Well I wouldn’t be the one initiating it. Based off what we’ve heard, I’m far more interested in Coco and Avatar. I wonder if many others feel the same.

I'm interested in it, but since we've been talking about in detail over the last 5 years I don't think there is much more to say until construction starts. In my opinion we know everything except the details of the individual scenes. Coco and Avatar are more talked about right now since they are newer projects with still very little details. You can go back and see before D23 Avengers was still talked about a lot.

But if there is something someone wants to talk about on it I'm happy to partake in the conversation.

Oh I see so you re saying because we’ve already been talking it about so long. Ok I can understand that but you would think D23 and the little new stuff we did hear would have infused some life into it. I do believe in terms of DCA announcements from D23 it’s the least anticipated and I think that’s due to a combo of things.

I think the only thing we learned from D23 that we didn't already know was the start of construction next spring. Everything else was a repeat of information we already got either in previous D23s or in a Parks Blog post. And it was the least anticipated in my opinion because it was already talked about for 5 years or so with a bunch of starts and stops. That doesn't mean however that people aren't interested in it, just that its been talked out for now.

Like I said I suspect talk will resume when construction starts next spring.

I think of all the upcoming rides, Coco has the biggest chance of disappointing people. People love that IP and their imaginations seem to be running wild with possibilities. In the meantime I don’t expect more than a D ticket (which could be fine if well executed) and Disney is using Coco and POTC/ HM in the same sentence.

Avatar is being advertised as a Super E ticket and I think they’ll do everything in their power to make that happen. And James Cameron. So I’m not worried about that one.

Avengers can kind of fall back on the fact that it’s Avengers so people will kind of just be happy to have a real purpose built Avengers ride finally but still may be slightly disappointed for other reasons.

My mind doesn't automatically go to which one will potentially disappoint people more.

Funny you mention this because the same though crossed my mind recently. There seems to be more to it than we've heard, made apparent by the "My favorite part is..." tease at D23. As for interest, my levels are quite high. I've posted before that I think there is a lot they can do with it, despite the fact that we're aware of the ride system. I hope that whatever Trowbridge was teasing will be enough to revive interest in the attraction.

Once construction starts next spring I expect a whole lot of discussion to start up again on Avengers.

I’m sure there will be something more to it, but I just don’t trust Scott “how you perform at piloting the Falcon will influence what happens to you through the rest of the land” Trowbridge.

Or who can forget “do you guys not like this?” Trowbridge? Hey I appreciate his honesty.
Ha! Yes, that was “humbled” Trowbridge peeking through the cracks.

I think the guy is awesome talented, has great vision, and creates amazing attractions. I’m just acknowledging that what he pitches doesn’t quite match reality.

Could someone remind me what this was about?

He was speaking at some event anywhere from 4-8 months after GE opened to lackluster reviews and what he was basically asking was - do you guys not like the hype real, you re in the story approach we took with the land? Which was kind of the first (and only if I’m not mistaken) acknowledgement we got from Disney that they were aware that they may have missed the mark on the approach they took with the land.

I feel like this the below is very doable but I’m fine with Avatar in the backlot/ bus transpo and Coco in Pixar Pier. The only issue is the timing. They might not want to wait for the Simba lot for Avatar.

Coco = Orange
Monstropolis = blue
Doors Coaster = Purple

You could cram things in but this ^ is hardly using the space to its full potential right?
