DCA 1.0 (and 2.0 for that matter) will always pale in comparison to what could have been WestCOT.

Can you imagine how altered Westcot would be now in this new IP driven age of Disney? I don't think it would have aged very well. DCA was bland enough to make a decent foundation for what we have today, and I'm not sure the various themes proposed for Westcot would have had long-term appeal for DLR's audience.

I'm guessing it would kind of be like what they re doing with Epcot but worse because not enough years would have went by to create any real nostalgia and therefore there wouldn't be many classic or non IP attractions they respected enough to keep around with the current strategy being what it is. In addition with the budget being what it was Westcot would have already been at disadvantage before the changes even began.

Sadly, you're probably correct. In that sense, it's probably best that it didn't happen. I'd hate to see the uproar of them slinging GOTG into WestCot...we already know what happened with DCA's fans.
