Fantasy Kingdom, Part 4 (final part)
46EC7CE4-C8EA-4975-BAB2-9D7B59AE606E.jpeg

Hurrah, Hurrah, we finally made it to the final part of Fantasy Kingdom, and it is the fantasy fairgrounds!
Right as we walk into the gates separating it from the castle courtyard and enchanted forest, we are greeted with food carts that sell popcorn, peanuts, and pretzels as well as the sight of rides!
The first ride we come across is Dumbo: the Flying Elephant, which is a classic Disney spinner ride. To the right of dumbo is Great Goofini’s Barnstormer, which is a kiddie roller coaster ride made by Vekoma.
On the other side of the fairground are three large tents set up, each with their own experiences. The tent across from Barnstormer is Mickey’s Madcap Circus, which is a new original dark ride themed around Mickey Mouse running his own circus, and of course it gets crazy! The middle tent features a combined circus restaurant with a gift shop named Circus Delights, which is a table service that serves classic American food with a zany twist, and it is also a character meal. In the last tent, which is the tent across from Dumbo, is another dark ride, Robin Hood‘s Merry Journey, which you may remember from the one sentence comp, (it was where I got my first gold medal), well, it was also intended to be a part of Disneyland Texas (it was the other furry object hint), anyways, it is a dark ride that also lets you shoot arrows at targets. Unlike Magic Kingdom in Orlando, this circus themed land does not have a train station, the train’s second stop will be in the next land that we will be visiting,
Tomorrow City. (I also edited the Wild Lagoon post to add the train station, which I forgot about back in November).

Anyways, in the next part, we will be entering Tomorrow City, the exciting land of the future. Of course, comments and feedback are allowed.

You forgot Casey Jr. Circus Train ride.

I've always thought that Mickey doesn't belong in a Circus section. I know he's been in many shorts with a Circus theming, but a land with him and it doesn't seem right.

Just like I wouldn't want to see him in Tomorrowland, even though he's probably done multiple Space related shorts.

As you walk through the gates that separate Hollywood Boulevard from Tomorrow City, you are suddenly whisked away into the future. The first attraction you see is Star Jets, which is the equivalent to Astro Orbitor. Flying above you is a version of the transportation of the future, the PeopleMover, but we will get to that later. There is a big food restaurant where you can dine with aliens to the left of you (toward the gate to Fantasy Kingdom), named SciFi Canteen. Across from that restaurant is a thrilling track ride/roller coaster named Wreck it Ralph: Sugar Rush Speedway, to help ease in the transition to/from Fantasy Kingdom (it is also a modern version of Autopia).

Happy early Christmas! Just wanted to get something out quickly, next time we will explore the rest of this land. Comments and feedback are welcome, of course.

Tomorrow City, Part 2

Welcome to the second part of exploring the city of the future in Disneyland Texas. Previously we explored the left side of the land, now we are going to explore the back and right sections.
As you walk towards the back section of the land, you will see a big structure looming above you. This is the Tomorrow City Power Plant, also known as Neo Space Mountain. It is a cyberpunk-esque (in fact, the whole land has a cyberpunk style) structure that has a roller coaster inside it. This e-ticket coaster is a launched coaster by Vekoma with a few inversions. To the right of it is the Disneyland Railroad Station, which heads toward Hollywood Boulevard. In between the two buildings is the in-park entrance to guests staying at the Progress City Resort, but we will get to that later.
Like I said in the previous part, there is a PeopleMover that travels through several rides in this land, including Neo Space Mountain, the PeopleMover also travels through other rides in the eastern section of the land.

The eastern section is a more city-like section, with many buildings, some of which are quick service restaurants like Space Sweets and Intergalactic Barbecue. This section also has many gift shops, too.
This section also has a few attractions like a modern version of the Timekeeper, a remastered version of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (which also has an entrance in Pixar Place), a dark ride named WALL-E‘s Journey (which also serves as as transition to Pixar Place), and an escape room named Tron: Escape the Grid where you are trying to get out of the Tron world while escaping Clu. At the edge of the eastern city section is one final attraction, Avengers: Save the City, which is a Kuka arm ride that has you fight villains like Thanos to save the small Marvel ”section” of Tomorrow City that also acts as a dead-end.

That, my friends, wraps up the penultimate land of Disneyland Texas. Next up we will be entering the gates between the Buzz and Wall-E rides and we will be exploring Pixar Place! Comments and feedback are allowed and appreciated.
Happy New Year (though it’s still December 31st in the US rn)!

Neo + Cyberpunk = Keanu Reeves ride.

Just kidding, it sounds awesome. It would be a clear departure from the usual Space Mountain. It sounds like Incredible Hulk at Islands, but with more eye candy.

Pixar Place

Beyond the gates to Pixar Place (that look like the above image), there lies a small land (smallest in the park) with many of your favorite Pixar pals.
The first ride in this land is Nemo and Friends SeaRider, which is a clone from Tokyo DisneySea, the building for that attraction can also be seen from Tomorrow City. Next to it, on its left is an attraction idea that was teased in the very first post, the Monsters Inc. Door Chase, which is a thrilling vekoma suspended roller coaster. There is also a whip attraction based on Cars, named Luigi’s Rollickin Roadsters (different from DCA attraction), and a meet and greet spot which rotates between a select number of characters from every Pixar film from Toy Story to Turning Red, the roster changes every month.
For this land’s dining options, there is a cafe themed to the Incredibles (who I really wanted to give a ride to, but I wanted to keep things realistic here) named Incredible Eats, a vegan quick service named Heimlich’s (themed to the character from A Bug’s Life), and of course, a fine dining restaurant in the IP based land, with Bistro Chez Remy, which is a French restaurant themed to Ratatouille.

This is the second-to-last post for the main park, next up will be short blurbs for the parades and fireworks, and then off to the rest of the resort! Comments appreciated
