I am sure they are looking at more than attendance, The land is doing pretty well bringing in plenty of money with all the booked cantina slots, light saber building and robot building. Add to that all the extra merchandise.
I'm sure you're right that it's multi-faceted.

But, I can't logically conclude that they spent a billion+ dollars and majorly overhauled many other aspects of the park and its operations because they planned and forecasted for a lot of lightsaber sales.

The Coronavirus scare and rain predicted throughout the week and up until Tuesday might see both parks be ghost towns. Magic Happens will likely also see its first cancellations due to weather

Disneyland is packed and gross. DCA was probably more manageable at some point before the downpours displaced everyone in line for the closed Cars and California Cheapin' rides. Now it also seems very crowded.

Did they choose the smoggiest day in history to record San Diego?

Ah San Diago. Drink it in. Always goes down smooth. Discovered by the Germans in 1904 they named it "San Diago" which of course in German means a whale's vagina. Actually that's not true. I don't think anyone knows what it means anymore. Scholars maintain the translaion was lost hundreds of years ago.

I'm pretty sure Mormons founded San Diego but I don't think they named it. But they were definitely fans of whale vagina.

That looks pretty busy. Who the heck would wait 50 minutes for Monsters Inc?
