In this thread, I will write down the plans for my dream Disney resort. Located within the vincity of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the resort consists of two theme parks, three resort hotels, Downtown Disney, and a Disney Cruise Line dock.

I will start with the first theme park: Disneyland Rio.

The world of make-believe comes alive in Disneyland Rio, where exciting adventures, fantasy, and fun surround you in six wondrous lands of enchantment. Travel through these lands and see how fantasy becomes reality when you learn how to be a pirate, dive deep under the sea, and conquer mountains. Get swept up in the spectacle of splendid parades and fireworks shows at Disneyland Rio-it's here that dreams come true for children of all ages.

Main Street USA
Enjoy the boundless charm and hospitality of a small town during 1900s. Stroll past Victorian stores, take a horse-drawn streetcar, and cool off at the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. It's just like in the good old days, when Walt Disney was a boy. In Town Square, there is a flagpole with the American and Brazilian flags flying high above Disneyland Rio's dedication plaque. Here, Main Street USA's theming is a combination of the Main Streets in Florida and California, with a dash of Brazilian architecture.
Attractions:
1. The Disneyland Rio Railroad- Take a grand-circle tour of Disneyland Rio with stops in Frontierland, Mickey's Toontown, and Tomorrowland. This station. Main Street USA's station bears a striking resemblance to the one at Disneyland in California.
2. The Main Street Vehicles- Presented by Hertz, the vehicles here are the Horseless Carriage, Fire Engine, Paddy Wagon, Horse-Drawn Streetcar, Omnibus, and Ambulance.
3. The Walt Disney Story- As the highlight attraction on Main Street USA, this attraction is housed inside Town Square's Teddy Roosevelt Theatre and acts as a salute to Walt Disney and the magnificent company he created. Presented by Coca-Cola, this attraction is almost an identical clone of One Man's Dream at DIsney's Hollywood Studios in Florida. The only difference is that the finale film is dubbed into Portuguese.
4. The Main Street Cinema- Six classic Disney cartoons play simultaneously on six different screens. The cartoons here will be Trolley Troubles, Plane Crazy, Steamboat Willie, The Wise Little Hen, The Band Concert, and Runaway Brain.
5. The Penny Arcade- For a penny, nickel, dime, or quarter, you can play some vintage arcade games that are sure to make you smile. The games here are exactly the same as what could be found in California, Florida, and currently in Tokyo.
6. The Plaza Swan Boats- Take a leisurely cruise around Cinderella Castle's moat. This will be similar to what ran in Florida from 1971 to 1983.
Shops:
1. The Newsstand- Newspapers, magazines, mementos, and Disney character merchandise at the entrance to Disneyland Rio.
2. The Main Street Fire Station- Fireman-themed merchandise featuring your favorite DIsney characters.

Adventureland
Welcome to a whole new world of excitement and thrills! Rub shoulders with pirates on the high seas, go through an archaeological dig with Indiana Jones or take to the trees with the Swiss Family Robinson. In Adventureland, there are three sublands: New Orleans Square, Tiki Island, and Lost River Delta. You can take Main Street USA's Center Street for a shortcut to Tomorrowland.
Attractions:
New Orleans Square
1. The Princess & the Frog: The Musical!- The characters from The princess & the frog put on a show that will warm your heart. The show will be housed inside the Louisiana Theatre, with one stage for Portuguese shows and the other for English shows.
2. Pirates of the Caribbean- Sail through Caribbean ports when Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew ruled the Spanish Main. This version will be most similar to Disneyland's version of the ride, with Paris' sword-fighting duo. This Pirates of the Caribbean will have a thrill factor at the same level of Universal Orlando's Jurassic Park River Adventure.
Tiki Island
3. The Haunted Mansion- Ride through an eerie Dutch vacation home where 999 ghostly inhabitants are "dying" to meet you. Since this version is themed to an abandoned Dutch vacation home, the facade will bear a striking resemblance to Florida's facade.
4. The Enchanted Tiki Room: Aloha E Komo Mai- Singing birds, talented flowers, a mischievous little alien, chanting Tiki Gods, and rich tropical music provide delightful entertainment. This show will be J.E. Smith's concept for a Stitch Tiki Room, minus the "loud-mouthed parrot" conversation. this portion will be replaced with Jose's "Nobody laid an egg but me." line from UNM. the shows will also be dubbed into Portuguese.
5. The Swiss Family Treehouse- Explore the ingenious treetop home built by the Robinson family after being marooned by a disastrous shipwreck. This version will be a combination of Florida and Tokyo's treehouses.

6. Raging Spirits- Dare the wrath of two ancient gods as you speed through an archaeological excavation site aboard this rollercoaster with a 360-degree loop! This is what can currently be found at Tokyo DisneySea.
7. The Jungle Cruise- Venture deep into mysterious danger-filled jungles to explore the perils of the wild. The scenes, in order, of this Jungle Cruise are the Boathouse, Rainforest, Crocodile Parts, Safari Camp, Watering Hole, Lion Territory, Trapped Film Crew, Hippopotamus Swamp, Sunken City (Egyptian ruins), Cannibal Country, Primeval Falls (dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals), and Trader Sam's Outpost.
8. Indiana Jones & the Legend of Machu Picchu- Search for the ancient city of Machu Picchu with Indiana Jones in a harrowing life-or-death journey to escape the menacing Incan gods. This is an EMV ride through an archaeological dig site in an ancient Incan city.
9. Tarzan Rocks!- Join Tarzan and his friends for a rockin' live stage show that combines jungle gymnasts, in-line skaters, and songs from the 1999 movie. This is the show that used to run at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Florida. The only two differences are that the show is dubbed into Portuguese and the live musicians are hidden by dense jungle foliage.

Frontierland
Mosey through the legends of the Wild West. Cruise on a paddle steamboat and ride a runaway mine train on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Young folk can play in the Native American Village, while sharp-shooters can test their aim in the Hatfield-McCoy Shootin' Exposition. This Frontierland's theming will be a combination of those of the traditional Frontierland, Critter Country, and Liberty Square.
Attractions:
1. The Redemption River Expedition- Follow John Marston on his quest to save his family from a group of Wild West bandits. Based on the video game Red Dead Redemption, this attraction will be a Splash Mountain-style Western River Expedition.
2. Tom Sawyer Island- Take a log raft across the Rivers of America to embark on your adventure through The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
3. The Native American Village- Visit this village where Native Americans teach you about their ancient rituals. Located on Tom Sawyer Island, this attraction focuses on the Navajo, Cherokee, and Pueblo tribes.
4. The Mark Twain Riverboat- Enjoy a leisurely trip down the Rivers of the Frontier on a romantic showboat. Since each of my Disney resorts' Rivers of America will have a different name, I gave Rio's rivers the name Rivers of the Frontier.
5. The Hatfield-McCoy Shootin' Exposition- Test your sharpshooting skills at "wilderness" targets. This attraction will be similar to what's found at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
6. The Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Revue- Enjoy a rollicking revue from the days of the Wild West featuring high-kicking dancers in a can-can routine. This version of the show will be most like Tokyo's show.
7. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad- Venture onto a runaway mine train for the wildest ride in the wilderness! Using the exact same track layout as Expedition: Everest, this version has you trying to rescue a group of gold miners trapped by a cave-in. As with all Disney attractions, there's a happy ending with the miners safely returned to their families.
8. Buffalo Bill's Wild West Spectacular- Join Mickey Mouse and his friends as they go back in time to meet Buffalo Bill, Sitting Bull, Annie Oakley, and the Rough Riders. This show will be much like the Buffalo Bill show at Disney village in Disneyland Paris. Differences include the lack of food during the show and being dubbed into Portuguese.
9. Fantasmic!- Mickey Mouse battles the Disney Villains in this epic nighttime spectacular! Presented by Coca-Cola. Performed on the Rivers of the Frontier, this version of the show will have the stadium seating that Disney's Hollywood Studios has. The Pocahontas scene will be replaced by one from Mulan while the Lion King scene will be replaced by one from Dinosaur. As usual, the show will be dubbed into Portuguese.

Really, really, really good so far. One question. In the Beastly Kingdom Section of Fantasyland, why not add the Fantasia ride that Disney has been trying to do since the beginning of the parks? Not to mention it was in the original plans for the Beastly Kingdom in the Animal Kingdom in WDW. It provided a good transition and balance between the Dragons and the Unicorn because of the movie's combination of both good and evil.

I'm also not too sure about Fantasmic! in Frontierland...:lookaroun I understand where you came from, with the backdrop at Hollywood Studios being similar to Big Thunder, but don't you think maybe we could not do Fantasmic! in this park and instead add The World of Color (which has gotten better reviews) into Fantasyland, closer to the castle.

I'm surprised you asked about the Fantasia ride. I was originally going to add it in the Beastly Kingdom section, but I wanted this Fantasyland to have the same number of attractions as Paris' Fantasyland, including the railroad station. If I included the Fantasia ride, there would be too many attractions in this Fantasyland. Well, I'll add it anyway.

One question why is the Haunted Mansion in Tiki Island... if you ask me it really doesn't fit there. Anyway, awesome idea so far and would love to see it in reality.

Yes. But given the choice I think that most people would prefer World of Color.... And he also suggested having the amphitheater like the one at DHS. Well there is a HUGE walkway from Sunset Boulevard to the amphitheater, so it would be so far removed from Frontierland it would defeat the purpose.

I mainly suggested it because I would LOVE to ride it!

9. The Great Muppet Movie Ride- Follow Kermit, Miss Piggy, and their friends as they parody the greatest movies of all time. I. LOVE. THAT. IDEA. I never would of thought of that but so great! (And you found a way to fit in the Muppet GMR!!! :sohappy: Always wanted that in DHS... :(

4. The House of Mouse- Dine on cuisine from around the world as you watch an enthralling collection of Disney cartoons.

Once again. Genius. I loved the show and seems like a really fun idea. Could be sort of like Sci-Fi at DHS, minus the cars, instead the classic tables with tall chairs like on the show, right?

Quite interesting but why do so many armchair-imagineers always have to hopelessly overdo their design ideas? It's Disneyland Rio and you already have 52 attractions even without Tomorrowland? Be a little more realistic or do you think Disney would build such a gigantic park that's larger than both DL and MK in Brazil? Of course, it's your fantasy design, you can do whatever you want, but far more interesting than some fandreams are approaches that try to stay at least a little realistic. It's much more difficult to design an interesting park with a roster of 20-30 attractions than with 60, 80 or 100+.

Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland
Here in Tomorrowland, the future is just a dream away! So, ready your rockets, boys and girls, as you blast into the twin orbits of innovation and exploration. But Tomorrowland is more than a fascinating collection of gadgets and gizmos, it's a spaceport where your imagination lands each day to glimpse otherworldly wonders, embark on fantastic voyages, and witness the pioneering of the human spirit. The architecture in this Tomorrowland is a combination of those found in Tokyo Disneyland's Tomorrowland and in the 1982 version of EPCOT's Future World.
Attractions:
1. Figment's Odyssey Through Time- Travel through time with Dreamfinder and Figment as they test their latest invention. Shown in Circle-Vision 360, this attraction sends you to the age of the dinosaurs, aboard the Titanic, and into the future with Dreamfinder and Figment.

That covers Disneyland Rio. Stay tuned for the second gate (which doesn't have a name yet)!

Have you ever thought of adding more family sit down restaurants into the park? In my opinion, MK in WDW is missing sit down restaurants.

Of course, it's your fantasy design, you can do whatever you want, but far more interesting than some fandreams are approaches that try to stay at least a little realistic. It's much more difficult to design an interesting park with a roster of 20-30 attractions than with 60, 80 or 100+.
