Was actually thinking of starting from scratch (not scrapping the ideas)

But organizing the original ideas and starting with a clean slate for the park. The map above was very rushed. It's on the outskirts of Madrid on an open plain we had found, tomorrow I can do a better job of writing up a summary of what there is so far:)
I that could work as it could entice some newer people, or those that have returned to be able to contribute more without being confused.

However I anticipate whatever you do, and whatever way I can help :D

Version #1 -- What I would call a 'Different' Magic Kingdom, there's also a 'Classic' MK, and a 'European' MK version, but those might have to wait for another day as I'm kinda tired :p

The 'Different' Magic Kingdom

3 - Indoor covered Main Street inspired by 1600s Spanish village architecture (for inclement weather purposes - can be accessed all year round)
4 - Victorian Gothic inspired Castle -- entering an American inspired 'Main Street' courtyard (symbolizing crossing over to the west) Dark rides in courtyard include Lady and The Tramp along with restaurants/shops/M&Gs

Nueva Espana
5 - Caribbean Village setting with shops/restaurants, etc (after the 1600s Spaniards from the village moved to the west. Town set in the late-1800s

16 - Dumbo spinner
17 - Casey Jr. flat
18 - the transition from Dumbo into the Mary Blair inspired Fantasy Forest station and it's a small world beyond the tracks

A land inspired by a previous competition project which would be modified a lot for this project

Something will eventually click...I do like a transition from an indoor Main Street to some sort of Edison Square area transitioning towards a late-1800s Discoveryland in the bottom left...but we shall see!

I also like time pieces for each of the lands as it makes it flow as more of a story narrative from land to land

I got bored so I decided to go ahead and make a map of what I'm envisioning for the opening plaza. Starting from the bottom the buildings are the hotel, train station, shops & restaurants & theater, and the Crystal Palace restaurant to the far left hand side. I call the area:
PLAZA ESPAÑOLA

PLAZA ESPAOLA.png

HOTEL AND TRAIN STATION
The first building guests will see upon arriving to Disneyland Madrid Park is the massive entrance to the Disneyland Hotel. Like the much of the Plaza Española, the resort is constructed in a mix of Spanish Baroque, Renaissance Revival, Romanesque, and Moorish revival architecture. The hotel in particular is similar in design to Plaza de España de Sevilla. It is rich in detail and color. Walking through the main guest entrance of the hotel, guests will encounter the Estación de Tren de Plaza Española. This station is constructed in the Spanish Revival style, common in the 19th century, and also features a glass roofed atrium where the train pulls into the station. It sits in the center of a larger courtyard area that is beautifully landscaped and similar to a courtyard you would find in Barcelona.

Calle de la Magia
Remaining portions of the plaza are a mix of various Spanish and European city architecture. Each building is unique in style and design with most being buildings based on styles popular during the late 19th century. This will create both a sense of fantasy and realism within the park. The first four large buildings on either side of the main avenue (Calle de la Magia) will feature two long arcade's. These will be similar to the enclosed spaces that exist at Tokyo Disneyland, but on a smaller scale. It will also create an environment reminescent of the shopping arcades that were popular across Europe during the late 19th century. For reference see the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan. Others exist in nearly all major European cities. These buildings will house cafe's, restaurants, shops, a theater playing a show unique to the park, a meet and greet location, various guest services (bathrooms, photo shop, etc.), and a penny arcade. This district really comes alive with various street performers and the parks daily parade. At night the area takes on a whole new life with beautiful lighting and many exciting events.

Logistics:
Essentially the hotel envelops the area. Each exit/entrance from the hotel serves as a real entrance/exit and contains the corresponding security. The train does pass through the hotel, similar to the monorail at Disney World. It cannot be heard by guests. Guests are not allowed to enter the park when the park is closed (for obvious reasons).

Anyways...those are my thoughts on this. I hope it makes sense...and hopefully you guys like it. Feel free to elaborate and expand upon this.

Also...random idea...and corresponding question...have you guys design a castle yet? There are some really cool gothic castle designs I could post just for idea reference....another idea I had though....what if the castle was in a similar style to the Sagrada Familia:
Sagrada-Familia-Illustration-Completed-Church1-189x300.jpg
Oh that would be something...there's a lot of history behind that as well, could be an amazing interior too

Yes, yes, yes! Real life Euro-Disney was going to have a castle of its own design, why can’t we do the same here?
