I'd prefer no alcohol at all in this one particular, very special and historic park, but I have no problem at all with a table service-only policy.

Both parks have announced they're bringing back the good ol' days. Guests are now offered two free seven-ounce beers per visit. When dropping by Busch Gardens in Tampa, you can pick up a free brew at the Garden Gate Cafe through August 5. Over at SeaWorld in Orlando, beers are available at Mana's Pretzel Kitchen Patio until September 2 from 10:30am until an hour before the park closes.
However, you shouldn't expect options on the gratis beer. The free beer will rotate throughout the summer, but options will include Bud Light, Miller Light, Corona, Yuengling, M.I.A. 305, Shock Top, Founders All Day IPA, and the SeaWorld exclusive Mako Red Ale, according to a press release.
Busch Gardens will be getting beer-friendly in many ways. The park is introducing the Busch Gardens Brew Club, which features a reserved stein and five-dollar beer refills throughout the year. Then, starting August 25, the park will host Bier Fest featuring 100 local and international beers along with German food for a mini Oktoberfest through September 16.
Between the return of beer at SeaWorld and Busch Gardens, Disneyland getting its first-ever brewery, and Disney World getting much boozier it's not the worst summer to finally take that theme park vacation you've been talking about. <<

Didn’t there used to be a Busch Gardens in Southern California? Where was it exactly?
In the Valley next to the 405. The Budweiser Plant that was next to it needed more room, and Busch Gardens was lost in the need to make more beer. Loved that place as a kid …. Fond memories with my family visiting many times.

So I'm not completely crazy then. I vaguely remember seeing ads for this place in Vacationland Magazine as a kid, but we never visited.
What's there now?
As I said, the Brewery. It grew to a much larger plant to produce more beer. No Public Tours are offered due to lack of space, which are offered at most AB plants, including a nice one in Fairfield, CA.

The Budweiser brewery in Van Nuys is actually bringing back Brewery Tours, for the first time in 40 years. They announced that tours were coming back in late April, but by early May all available tour dates were already booked up. FYI -- D23 just posted their event. While it's not a 'sneak preview,' it does get you into Pixar Pier the same weekend (Sunday) for a private walk-through with someone from Imagineering before DCA opens @ 6:30am and gets you on to Incredicoaster, Midway Mania, and the Fun Wheel. Also includes a continental breakfast at the Grand Californian and some kind of small gift/souvenir.
Only $75 -- park admission not needed, but sounds like you're escorted in and out of Pixar Pier just for this event and then you would need park admission if you wanted to go back in to either park.

Yeah... I guess if you pay membership strictly for this one event, it's probably not a smart purchase for you. There's plenty of cool stuff throughout the year though that makes the membership worth it to me, but it's obviously not for everyone.
