For quite some time I have been thinking about a Disneyland park in India. The location would be exotic yet modern and the perfect spot for a Disney resort. The resort would open with one park and two hotels, however there would be TONS of room for expansion. By phase three the resort would include 3 parks and 8 hotels. I need help designing the park so please help!

Here is a list of attractions for the Disneyland park:

Main Street USA

1) Main Street Vehicles
2) Penny Arcade
3) Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln
4) Town Hall
5) The Disneyland Railroad

Adventureland

1) The Jungle Cruise
2) Indiana Jones and the Pyramid of the Crystal Skull (Tokyo Disneyland version)
3) Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room
4) Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse
5) Pirates of the Carribean
6) Enchanted Tiki Gardens (Garden area and Meet n' Greet)
7) Festival of the Lion King

Frontierland

1) Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (like DLP version)
2) Western River Expedition

5) Explorer Canoes
6) Fort Crockett (Play Area)
7) Phantom Manor ( A nice blend of DL and DLP version)
8) Luky Nugget Saloon (Featuring Billy Hill and the Hillbillies)
9) Disneyland Railroad Frontierland Station

Fantasyland

1) Sleeping Beauty's Castle (walk through)
2) Snow White's Scary Adventure
3) Peter Pan's Flight
4) Pinocchio's Daring Journey
5) Sleeping Beauty's Magical Journey (A new dark ride located inside of Sleeping Beauty's Castle)
6) Dumbo the Flying Elephant
7) Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (Much larger than Disneyland version including scenes from the book that never made it into the movie)
8) The Mad Hatter's Tea Cups
9) Alice's Curious Labrynth (DLP version)
10) It's a Small World
11) Casey Jr Circus Train
12) Storybook boat ride
13) Disneyland Rairoad Fantasyland Station
14) Little Mermaid Lagoon (garden area)
15) The Adventures of the Little Mermaid (New dark ride in which guests board giant sea shells and accompany Ariel on her undersea adventures)
16) Fantasyland Stage
17) The Enchanted Gardens (more gardens)

Critter Country

1) Splash Mountain
2) Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day (Just like TokyoDL version NOT WDW or DL version)
3) The Hundred Acre Wood (Garden and Meet n' Greet area)

Discoveryland (Like DLP)

1) Discovery Mountain (like DLP Space Mountain)
2) Star Tours Journey to Hoth (New version of a classic!)
3) Captain Nemo's submarine Voyage ( Like Tokyo Disney Sea Version)
4) Disncoveyland Peoplemovers
5) Discovery Gardens (Can you tell that I like gardens yet?)
6) Journey to the Center of the Earth (Discovery Mountain, the Submarines, and Journey will all be located inside of a giant volcanoe like at TDS)
7) Videopolis Theater
8) Disneyland Railroad Discoveryland Station

Later I will post info about the hotels, retaurants, and shops!

I'm not sure it's ok to bring in attractions that are completely American (Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln) to parks abroad...Just a thought

And for some reason, I think it would be great to have something "Indian" about the park

otherwise, it all sounds great.

Your probably right about not bringing GMwML to India, so I've changed that attraction into One Man's Dream the Walt Disney Story.

I have been trying to think of ways to add an Indian flare to the park, my first instinct was to add Indian theming to Adventureland, like here in the states. But whats adventurous about India if you live there? What should I do!!!

Please post suggestions!

An Indian themed land sounds great!

Sorry its taken me so long to respond, Ive been out of town the past week. Replacing Frontierland with an Indian land would be awsome!!! The Haunted Mansion will be moved from the previous Frontierland into Fantasyland

I'm going to do some research on Indian mythology and try to get some ideas for "India land".

I agree that Sleeping Beauty Castle is a bit overused, so how bout changing it to Le Chateau de Beaute et la Bete ( The Castle of Beauty and the Beast). I also think it would be really cool if the castle was placed on a small hill with waterfalls cascading down the sides.

I HAVE TO GO BUT I WILL SOON POST THE REMAINING FANTASYLAND RESTAURANTS AND DISCOVERYLAND RESTAURANTS.

WHen you put the Haunted mansion into Fantasyland, How are you going to theme it to fit into the surrounding Scenery? I mean, this ride just doesn't seam to be right for fantasyland. Unless you drasticaly alter the ride into a villian type castle or something.

If not you could always create liberty square or new orleans square.

Your probably right about not placing the Haunted Mansion in Fantasyland, but I dont want to copy NOS or LS. Any suggestions?

I read somewhere that most asian cultures associate ghosts with fantasy ( Hence the reason the Haunted Mansion at TDL is in Fantasyland)..... just a thought.

You could put HM in the India Land. You culd also place an Indy Adventure ride and a cobra-themed mine coaster in that land. Plus, Elephant rides (would make for an awesome parade, just imagine Mickey sitting on top of an Elephant in Indian garb).

You can make a completely new castle that incorporates some Indian architecture.

India has a rich history, and numerous myths that could be incorporated into a park. There are also many traditional stuctures that could replace a castle as the focal point.

Most of the temples have gift shops that you have to exit through, so the locals are used to that aspect of the Disney experience.

BTW, most of the regulars know that The Daughter spent a semester there (India) last year, and I'm basing my comments on her observations.
