Disneyland quick service restaurants are now charging 99 cents if you want tomatoes on your burger. Tomatoes were removed from the menus when the Food and Drug Administration imposed a nationwide ban on them last summer. When the ban was lifted, Disney made the decision not to bring back the free tomatoes. "Tomatoes were often something that guests requested to be removed from their burgers," Disneyland spokeswoman Suzi Brown stated.

The tomatoes used in fast food are always disgusting and tasteless, so I always ask them to be removed.

Only if I'm in a good restaurant or cooking in my own kitchen do I use tomatoes. At some gross burger stand in a theme park I don't want their lousy tomatoes on my food.

So if guests requested the removal of tomatoes from their burgers, why not make them available, upon request at NO ADDITIONAL charge. I think it is very tacky of Disney to charge extra for tomatoes. Now granted, fast food tomatoes aren't always primo, the principle of charging more is not right. What's next, extra for lettuce and if you want a bun?? In my opinion, just an extra way to make more $$.
