This is my first thread which will be expanded on, but I need your help. I have a idea for a Disney Resort featuring 6 parks, 3 water parks, plenty of hotels, and a shopping district. My only concern is, where should it go? I have 3 places, but I'd like your opinion.

Should it be in:
Germany
Texas
Australia

I was also looking around the forums and saw that @spacemt354 makes really great maps. Could you help me, once everything is planned, to make a map?

Thanks, and I can't wait to see everyone's opinion.

Welcome! For a first Resort my go-to would be something along the lines of Australia out of your 3 options, mainly because it would be thousands of miles from the next closest Disney Resort, and Asia being the most populated continent on earth, you'd potentially get a lot of tourists taking a flight from Asia down to your resort as a vacation destination. Last year in a brainstorming group called Club 32 - we designed a Sydney Disneyland Resort, and Sydney Disneyland Park from the ground up if you'd like to look to see how it was done! Here's the link

When it's all set and done - thank you for the compliment I'd be glad to!

Germany is way too close to France. I’d go with Texas and Australia instead.

I think it might be - you already have DL and WDW in the states, I can't see them building a 6 park/3 water park resort in the middle of those two.
They tried to build a park in Virginia. Granted it wasn’t Disneyland and it never was built for a number of reasons but they still had the idea to do so. And besides, there are a number of threads dedicated to a Disneyland in Texas.

1 park is different than a whole resort though - if it was a small scale park or something relevant to Disneyland Virginia then I'd tend to agree with you, but for this project from the looks of it - it'll be even bigger than WDW. There are threads on it but mostly because it's an easy option if you aren't taking realism into account or building a small scale resort.

Off topic, but I feel like if Disney ever builds a new theme park in the USA, it will be in the North East. The Northeast is the most populated region of the United States and combine that with the fact that Boston, Washington D.C., New York City, Philadelphia (all places with big population and tourist destinations) would all be in driving distance makes it the perfect location.

Now back to your regular scheduled programing.

I kind of actually agree with that! That may well be something to consider in my future projects. :D

Something to consider with that though would be winter weather and the fact that the northeast is a large percentage of the guests who visit Disney World, so it may saturate the market in that regard.

Yea, I agree with that. But I want Disney to build an Aulani style resort with an indoor waterpark and Disney Springs indoor resort. I know it won't be a Disneyland style resort, but I don't think Disney would let go on this market in the Northeast. Legoland is building a theme park in the Northeast and people would add a day on to their trip for a Disney park/resort.

A hotel resort or a mall is entirely plausible - I'm more referring to the 6 theme park/3 water park proposal in this thread for my hesitation on the northeast US.

Yeah, this huge complex would be too hard to handle in the Winter months with the snow, storms, etc. Like you said, space, hotel or mall, yes. Although, I don't know if Disney would build a mall, but sure!! :p
