Disneyland 1/2 Marathon -SOLD OUT!

FYI-with still 6 months to go, the Disneyland Half Marathon is SOLD OUT!
There is a wait list if you are still interested if participating.

I'm registered to run it (my very time at Disneyland ).
Just wondering if anybody had run it before-Are there as many participants as the races at DisneyWorld. It just seems to me that it sold out very quickly compared to the races in Florida.

Two months from registration opening to sell out. The WDW marathon was still open into November or December, as I recall.

I am wondering if they cut the field this year compared to years before. A friend of mine said last year's was open until April or May.

I think it is due to 2 factors. First, definitely seems to be a increase in interest for the Coast to Coast medal. So lots of people who have done the other events are trying to complete the bling collection now, and need that piece to complete the set. Also, I would imagine that the race in DLR attracts alot more locals. So it is easier for someone local to plan/attend the race where as a large chunk of the WDW runners try to plan vacations around it.

I figured it had to be more locals.
I also wonder if the sliding scale of registration fees had anything to do with. Maybe people signed up early to save a little $.

I also agree with you about the interest in the coast-to-coast challenge. That's why I signed up. I WANT THAT MEDAL!

That is the reason I planned a trip out there, plus never being there, i had to go. But that C2C medal is sweet and would love to add it to the collection.

Hey guys! I'm currently on the waitlist for the half marathon, just signed up today. Does anyone know if a) there is a way to find out what my place is on the waitlist, and b) if people on the waitlist typically get through?
