DHS- E X P A N D over the World Drive toll plaza and create a new backlot there filled with soundstages and sets. Announce an Incredible's Ride.
AK- Beastly Kingdomme, Austrailia, and bring AK's e tickets back to their glory days.

With just shy of 13 months till the 40th, I am suprised they haven't announced anything. If I am not mistaken I remember DL's 50th and Walt Disney's 100th to go on forever. 2012 is Epcots 30th (10/01/1982), 2013 is DAK's 15th (4/22/1998) and 2014 would be the Studios 25th (5/01/1989.) Did I do the math correctly????

If so that would be 4 years of kind of milestone years.

I had heard the Magic Kingdom was to receive a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea-themed submarine ride to be located in Fantasyland.

I had heard the Magic Kingdom was to receive a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea-themed submarine ride to be located in Fantasyland.

I always wanted to ride that, I have a feeling it would be flooded with finding Nemo characters.

Hi there,

Does anyone think that the parks will be busier Oct/Nov 2011 because of the 40th anniversary.? My family and I always choose to go at that time because of the great weather and minimal crowds. I wonder if they will throw some kind of massive promotion to try and bring more people there for the celebration?

I love Disney but I'm not so familiar with trends for promotion , etc ... which is why I ask this question here ... everyone on here is so knowledgeable !!!!

Hey!!! I loved the cake castle....It was so different...I can see how some didn't like it, but I thought it was cool! Here is what I would like to see happen:
MK: SGE changed back to ExtraTerrorEstrial Alien Encounter
EPCOT: Bring back the old Wonders of Life Pavillion complete with Cranium Command and Body Wars
AK: ??
DS: Add POTC scene to Great Movie Ride

Also, off topic: has anyone ever been in Janurary? I want to go after the holidays, but what is the best time to go?

The only thing I see happening for the 40th is a new parade, castle show and pin release.

Here is my wishlist:

Magic Kingdom:Get rid of Stitch's Great Escape, new firework show
DHS:Get rid of Sounds Dangerous, Get rid of the backlot tour and make an Iron Man themed rollercoaster with intro by Robert Downey Jr.
Epcot:Ban Captain EO, build new country, Poland, and bring World of Color over.
Animal Kingdom:Anything to make it not so boring.
