Here is a question:

If you had the power to make Disney World a smoke free enviroment, would you do it?

This topic has been peppering the forum for a week now, so lets see what answers come out of this.

I don't think anybody could do it, it would be like treating all smokers as lepers. I think you could make 99.9% non smoking but you got to have a smoking area even if it is only one area in the whole park.:fork:

Its just a yes or no question, logic is not permitted.

The way I feel about smoking is the same as my feelings on religion.
I'll respect you if you respect me. Seems fair, IMO.

Nope. As long as the people who smoke keep it in the designated areas. I have asthma so it ticks me off that people just light up wherever they feel!!!

As long as smoking only occurs in the smoking sections, it's ok with me. Though, whenever I find a quiet and cool spot to sit so my son can nap it always seems to be a smoking section which, obviously, isn't good. They should add shady baby napping sections too. :animwink:

It seems to me that this thread and poll was designed only to start yet another heated discussion about this subject.

It also seems to me that the OP is trying to goad other posters into arguements to prove his point (whatever that is).

So far it hasn't worked and I hope this continues.

Sorry, this is a valid question with some humor thrown in. Don't be so judgemental.

Disney can run their business however they want. If they want to cut costs of cleaning and maintaining smoking areas, than good for them. I guess I'm still a smoker (rarely smoke--maybe one cigarette a month), and as long as there is a smoking section, I don't see how unreasonable it is for smokers to have a spot and have their fix.

I totally agree....add that to his statement that "logic is not permitted" makes this entire thread a farce. How can someone vote if logic is not permitted? I guess close your eyes, point out your finger and whichever choice it lands on is your vote--yes a totally inaccurate and ridiculous survey. I guess he's saying that smokers can't be logical? Hmmmm....

Yup, you are right....just another thread to try to cause hate posts, which will be locked and eventually deleted.

Just like the COUNTLESS wand threads. I mean, eventually enough is enough. People can only be pushed so far AND it's exceedingly boring. :brick:

ALthough I don't smoke, I believe that until cigarettes are outlawed to SELL, people should be able to smoke them. The Government won't make cigarettes illegal because of the tobacco lobby, not to mention all the money the Government gets in cigarette taxes.

Banning smoking altogether just seems Hypocritical to me.
