My fiance's last day as a Disney employee was January 29th, 2006. He spent the day in Magic Kingdom saying goodbye.
My first day ever visiting Disney was January 29th, 2006. I spent the day in Magic Kingdom taking it all in.

We officially met on September 27th, 2011. One day I was looking at his pictures and he had some from Magic Kingdom labelled Jan. 29th, 2006. I brought mine out and was like "look I was there to!" We looked to see if we were in each others pics but no such luck. It was still pretty neat that we were there at the same time.

Remember those really short shorts??? How many kids, including myself, were traumatized by our fathers, uncles or even grandparents wearing a pair and losing something out of them. Eeeeek. Good thing they are history. Now if only I could get them to pay my shrink bill. LOL j/k
OMG! I have posted on here in the past that we have a family picture at EPCOT Center circa 1987 and my Dad is wearing reeally short shorts....commando. We didn't realize anything was askew until we got them developed. I've always wondered if THAT is in the background of anybody's trip picture! Photobombing indeed!

We need time for things to happen.
Yeah this story has circulated on the boards before. Pretty cool.
I love stuff like that.

It's probably a 1 in a million chance so the "holy sh*t!!" factor for them is pretty off the charts.

Pretty cool story. The chances of stuff like this are pretty slim, unless your families travel to disney all of the time. Even then. But still, cool story.

I'm dating myself, but I have a photo of my dad from our trip to Universal in CA and he's wearing those shorty shorts and pretending to lift the A Team vehicle! LOL

Another kind of "It's a Small World" Disney related story (yes i have a few of them.)

I worked in the Canadian Pavilion. Every week at Vista Way we had a party called a "Throw In" This was to welcome the new employees from Canada. Each Throw In also involves a "Throw Out" where you say good bye to the Canadian CM's who are leaving.

The Throw Ins and Throw Outs usually meet each other that night then never see each other again. but......

Fast forward 3 years. I'm working on a cruise ship (not Disney) in the Mediterranean. I get word that I will be getting a new roommate from Canada. We started chatting saying that each other looked familiar but she was from Ontario and I'm from Nova Scotia (just in case you don't get the distance that would be kind of like someone from Maine and someone from Wisconsin). She also said my name sounded so familiar but she couldn't figure out why.

We realized that we both worked at Disney and that my throw out was her throw in. There is one photo of us together - her on the far left of the group and me on the far right. We also looked remarkably alike (5'8", 115 lbs, short blonde hair, green eyes). I asked her about my old "boyfriend" there and found out when I left he started dating her. (not a big deal, it was very casual). I told her we used to go to the movies all the time and I had a discount card for the theatre but I probably left it with him since he just carried it in his wallet.

She got out her wallet and had the card! She looked so much like me, he had given her my ID card and she kept using my movie discounts with him. We thought that was hilarious. We took a photo together and sent it to him saying "Wish you were here!"

To this day she's one of my best friends.
