Disney World Chase Visa Premier $200 statement Credit is HOT

I was just on the Disneyworld.com website, at the bottom of the page states $200 statement credit with $500 purchase within 3 months. It used to be a $200 gift card, I suppose a credit will be better if you save the money!

Also note the annual fee is $49 and appears to not be waived. Just cancel before the renewal. So you will basically have a $44 annual fee minus the $5 in points for first $500, this drops your statement profit to about $156

We can debate semantics here as far as who pays, but if I buy something that costs $100 using my credit card, the credit card company makes about $2 more money than they would have made if I paid cash. I'd agree with you if the merchant agreed to pay that transaction cost to the credit card company regardless of what method I paid by (cash, check, credit card). But since that is clearly not happening, that $2 the card company makes is directly linked to my using their card to pay for good and services. The more I spend, the more they make.

I believe we're saying the same thing.

I have $0 annual fee cards that are higher than 2% CB, so I have no need for Disney premier. I'll keep my $49 lol. I still have the regular Disney card for perks, discounts, and 6 month 0% on Disney Vacations.

BTW if any credit card deadbeats are out there, citi premier card is doing waived 1st annual fee, plus 50,000 points (can get $500 in gift cards) when spending $3,000 in the first 3 months.

By the way, which card do you have that is higher than 2% cb with no fee? I've got a bunch that have rotating categories at 5% but none with a flat 2% or higher.

I have a couple different ones I use.

BOA cash rewards. 3% gas, 2% grocery, 1 % everything.

Chase Freedom has the quarterly categories at 5% (gas, grocery, restaurants, amazon)

I use Discover a lot for their 5% + when you link through their portal website to other retailers. I think the other cards do that too, but Discover has the best customer service. The rewards are not as good as they used to be though.

Another favorite of mine is BOA better balance. I only pay my internet bill of $34.99 a month with it. When you pay more than you min balance on time 3 months in a row they give you $25. That drops my internet bill to $26.66. That get me like 26% back.

All of these are $0 annual fee. I know, it might be more work than others want to do, but I enjoy it lol.

Awesome, thanks, I have the chase freedom and discover with the 5% categories.

My others are capital one with 1.5% (but no foreign transaction fees). Amex which is 1.33%. And disney which is 1%.

I switch every few years and I'm always looking for the best new card. BOA card sounds good...also thinking of the citibank double cash back card.

We have the premier disney visa. I know that if I shop around I could find cards that give better cash back or rewards. But since we plan on going every other year, it is good way to "force" us to save for the trip. We never carry a balance and last trip I believe we had somewhere close to $1200 in rewards dollars.
We have had different cards, when I was in my early 20s we had the Sony Card, got two tvs out of it. When we started having kids it was the Toys R Us card and now it is the Disney Card.
