No need for the sad face, since this is surprisingly doable. If you hit Disney the first full week after the New Year, or mid-November (the week before Thanksgiving weekend), you can see most of the Christmas decorations and festivities without breaking the bank. These are actually great times to go. The pre/post holiday crowds are low and the weather is typically very good, although it can get a bit chilly in January, and it's before and after the point when the hotel prices get jacked up for the Holiday Season.

We usually go in early November, and even as early as the last week of the Food and Wine Festival, Christmas decorations are beginning to pop up all over. Last year, we even got to see the Osborne Lights before flying home.
I can only take time off work March - Oct, it's the rules. I can look for another job or win the lottery, quit and go when I like!

But I get your point! :) I figured if we did get to go during the holidays it would be crowded so good to know there's a time when it isn't!

I've done alot of cool things at Disney over the years including the Keys to the Kingdom tour (sooo cool)! Also, the Toy Story character's don't drop anymore as it was scaring little kids. They did do this at one point, but don't any more.

That's what I can think of for now. I'm sure there are more.

ooo is the keys tour worth it? I am definitely going to have to do this one day!

And the toy story thing- damn it! lol I only found out about it the other day and added it, ah well! i can see why it would scare the kids lol :)

I've never been to all four parks in a day. I plan to do it, but haven't. Sometimes I wonder if I could do one thing in all 7 major parks. I think I could. But I always think..."I'll get to it another time." Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, lol. :)

Visiting the overseas parks is something I'd like to do very much, but I never want to be on a plane that long.

The balloon thing at DTD would be nice to do.

This isn't Disney...but I'd like to do that zip line thing at Gatorland.

That's it!

Ooo yes all 7 would be great- !

I've done the balloon at DTD- it was really great to see it from up there- just wish it had been a little longer! x

The Keys to the Kingdom tour was TOTALLY worth it! It's awesome! You spend time going through Main Street, Adventureland and Liberty Square. Of course the best part is going backstage and into the utilidors! It was pretty cool to see everything and hear all the stories. We began our tour as the park opened at 9:00 (which meant we got in early!) and it ended around 1:00 and lunch was included. I would love to do the Backstage Magic tour one day.

My #1 thing to get off my bucket list is drink my way around WS and hit every country in one day! Some countries have such good choices that I wind up staying in a few of them a little too long!

My DH and I drank and ate around the world in September! Some advice - you need a long day so go on a day when Epcot has EMH. Plan a drink and food item every hour. Drink plenty of water!!! I documented our experience in my trip report. It was SO fun! BUT - I will never do it again. Tippy Tummy doesn't even begin to describe things!! HA! :)

We were in Disney Nov 13-18th 2011, the Christmas decorations were up and it was not very crowded. our longest wait time was 15 minutes and that was how long it took to go through the maze because they didn't take the rope down :) We were so not ready for the Christmas decorations we had no clue that they were up THAT soon. The only place that had Fall Decorations was Chef Mickeys.

Sounds perfect for us! Hopefully one day well manage it, November sounds like the best month to experience a WDW Christmas without the crowds! Thanks :)
