Hi Folks, just been watching a web cam overlooking downtown with Epcot in the background, and it sure looks overcast, the clock was ticking away and it said it was live but it was 4.00 am and here in Scotland it's 1.00 pm which is a 9 hour difference, should only be 5 hours.I know when DW sister phones from L.A. On Saturday nights there 8 hours behind us.Any clues to why this 9 hour thing,or is the clock on the cam just not working correct.:)

There is another but it is fake..It's on WDWLIVE.com they explain how this was done..

Is this a LIVE web cam? Of course not. Only Disney could offer something like that. Instead, we offer you dynamic video footage looking down Main Street U.S.A. Depending on the time of day you visit our web cam, the video adjusts itself to (roughly) reflect real daylight conditions. Our unique algorithm also randomizes the video you see within the time block of your visit. And if you visit at just the right time, you might be lucky enough to get a glimpse of Share a Dream Come True, SpectroMagic or Wishes!
The footage was filmed over several trips to the World, starting in 2004 (like the near-empty Main Street video that plays late at night) and the latest being in September 2006 (that's why the Castle has the mirror but not all the spirals). In all there are about 300 clips and almost 4 hours of footage. Some clips play at specific times, like Share a Dream at about 3:10 pm, Spectromagic around 9:00 pm and Wishes at 10:00 pm. Other time periods have a set of clips (usually around 10 to 20) that randomly play (but not the same twice in a row). The SAME SET of 300 clips play every day.

Here's the link http://www.wdwlive.com/how-it-works.html
The reason there isn't a real web cam was that they took the old ones down due to 9/11 attacks.

eyesonears is a website featuring live webcams from resorts and mobile streaming from the parks. The streams are done courtesy of the members of the site who share a bit of their vacation. A calendar of upcoming streams is available on the site. Two different live streams (DTD and DL) are usually available whenever there is no one currently visiting WDW.

The streams can be viewed on Ustream, but to view multiple feeds, I would recommend going to the eyesonears website.

Are those really live? I was told once they were not?

Eyesonears is live... Blue Heron is the only one going right now, showing a bit of DTD and Epcot... You can see Illuminations at 9... Members of that site stream live from their resorts, showing the view from their rooms... Sometimes they go mobile in the parks...

an update: there are 3 feeds live at this time: Art of Animation Resort, DL, and DTD.
by going to the eyesonears site, click live feeds and select the feed 1-3 page. :)
