“Could be.” Disney Parks could’ve done something with the walking Groot and oversized Hulk too, but those appearances in the Parks are functionally nonexistent. This Olaf could be added to either the Summerhaus in Epcot or the Sing-a-long at the Studios. Not as intimate for the masses but would still get him out there.
They still have the mech suit in Pandora?“Could be.” Disney Parks could’ve done something with the walking Groot and oversized Hulk too, but those appearances in the Parks are functionally nonexistent.
When was the last time someone saw it?They still have the mech suit in Pandora?
Years and years.......When was the last time someone saw it?
Pre-Covid shutdownWhen was the last time someone saw it?
What's interesting (and annoying) to me is that the official video from WDI says "Robotic Olaf". I thought Disney was trying to preserve the magic. Calling it "Robotic" seems to be not something they would traditionally do. It reminds me of when I went through Traditions class as a CM ~2008 when they said we don't call them "stuffed animals" because that implies something bad vs "plushes"
Yes, both locations would be excellent contained places he could ‘do his thing’ protected and away from overzealous Guests. This Olaf could be added to either the Summerhaus in Epcot or the Sing-a-long at the Studios. Not as intimate for the masses but would still get him out there.
Noticed this as well, but I’m ‘old school’ and remember how important it was to ‘preserve the Magic’.
Or at least how important it used to be…
Apparently this is not something as closely guarded as before…?

Olaf looks great however.
This is a really nice plus I would like to see brought over and utilized somehow Stateside.
More than likely as an element used in a staged show, or other interaction.
I can totally see this being used for a meet n’ greet opportunity, especially in Florida.
Hulk at least appeared in Paris... Did toddler Groot ever appear in the parks?“Could be.” Disney Parks could’ve done something with the walking Groot and oversized Hulk too, but those appearances in the Parks are functionally nonexistent.
Isn’t the technology being used like right now for the Titans on the destiny?“Could be.” Disney Parks could’ve done something with the walking Groot and oversized Hulk too, but those appearances in the Parks are functionally nonexistent.
He was briefly playtested in DCA two years ago. I was SO sad I couldn't get in to see him but they were really restricting the experience and only letting a handful of handpicked people inside.Hulk at least appeared in Paris... Did toddler Groot ever appear in the parks?
Does a restricted playtest count? I don't think it does. My problem with toddler Groot is I would want to hug him...He was briefly playtested in DCA two years ago. eh, as long as we don't give Olaf any weapons or tools that could harm someone, we might be okCan't wait to see how the AI learning animatronic handles itself when Olaf has multiple rude guest encounters and it feels like responding.
Oh look, they're giving out free commemorative axes!!
Or someone accidentally loads the OBC recording for The Book of Mormon into his learning algorithms...eh, as long as we don't give Olaf any weapons or tools that could harm someone, we might be ok
That pointy carrot could impale someone.... and those sticks for arms can be used effectively as weapons.eh, as long as we don't give Olaf any weapons or tools that could harm someone, we might be ok
