Two Ears

I'm with you @Disone I was not a fan of Frozen. I thought it was too loud and went on way too long. Tiana's is my favourite followed by Rapunzel's. I don't plan on going back on the Wish but if I did it would be my 'skip' dinner to go to Palo. I preferred Marvel to Frozen which surprised me.
Gees its like 30 minutes of music. shows dont get any shorter than that. And loud? Live music is always loud. Thats kind of the point. Its art for the ears.

sounds like you just didnt want music at dinner as those complaints apply to all musical dinner shows that are good. Tianas is bad because it only has two actual songs that deserve your attention and the rest is boring background tunes that everyone talks over while they eat and ignores. I can get restaurants like that on land (and with much better food). What i cant get is restaurants like Arrendelle. Its the high quality loud music that deserves your full attention that makes it special so the bad food doesnt matter. clearly some people dont appreciate amazing music when their stomachs are empty.

Definitely a case of different strokes for different folks.

The Disney Treasure crew launched one of their small boats to rescue four people from a sinking catamaran 80 miles away from the ship near Bermuda today.

"We are pleased that the Disney Treasure was able to provide aid to the boat passengers in peril. Our crew members worked together on the rescue, skillfully demonstrating their training and commitment to safety," Disney Treasure Captain Marco Nogara said in a statement to ABC News.

We were told by the captain around 11am (ship time) that we had turned around and were heading full speed to the ship in distress. The seas were choppy to begin with but add moving at 20+ knots and it was a wild ride. They closed off the outside decks for safety reasons. I watched the entire thing unfold from deck 12.

The kids did their honeymoon on the Fantasy back in 2016. The ship rescued a boat full of Cubans who'd been stranded for a day or two when the motor of their boat died.

Disney Cruise Line has announced the role of godparents for the Disney Treasure will be held by The Walt Disney Company cast, crew, Imagineers and employees around the world.

Here's the press release:

CELEBRATION, Fla. (NOV. 13, 2024) – Disney Cruise Line announced today that the honorary role of “godparent” for its new ship, the Disney Treasure, will be held by The Walt Disney Company cast, crew, Imagineers and employees around the world.

The profound declaration is a heartfelt tribute to the more than 200,000 dreamers and doers who make every Disney entertainment, vacation and at-home experience possible. Disney Cruise Line is proud to celebrate the magic makers from across the globe who have created meaningful, lifelong Disney memories for generations of families.

“At the core of everything we do at Disney are the dedicated Cast Members and employees who create the magic that brings joy to millions of people around the globe,” said Bob Iger, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company. “That’s why we are proud to honor all Disney employees as the godparents of the Disney Treasure. This is our way of paying tribute to the dreamers and doers who continue to tell our stories in the most compelling and innovative ways.”

Fulfilling a longstanding maritime tradition, the time-honored role of a ship godparent symbolically bestows good fortune on the vessel and its travelers with a special blessing during the ship’s Christening ceremony. In 2022, Disney Cruise Line reimagined the tradition by naming all Make-A-Wish children — including past, present and future recipients — as godchildren of the Disney Wish, sister ship to the Disney Treasure.

“Every magical guest experience is the result of the collective effort of tens of thousands of Disney Cast Members, Crew Members, Imagineers and employees,” said Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences. “Because of this outstanding team, Disney creativity, storytelling and service continues to set the standards for the entertainment and hospitality industries around the world.”

Inspired by the theme of adventure, the Disney Treasure will feature both new and signature Disney Cruise Line experiences steeped in captivating Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and Disney Parks stories. These include an original Broadway-style retelling of “Moana;” immersive dining experiences inspired by Pixar’s “Coco” and Marvel Super Heroes; a splashtacular Mickey Mouse-themed water attraction; signature fireworks at sea; imaginative clubs for kids of all ages; and brand-new lounges inspired by the beloved Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion and “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” Disney Parks attractions.

The Disney Treasure is part of a multi-year expansion of the award-winning fleet, which currently includes six ships and seven more ships on the way by 2031. The period of growth strengthens Disney Cruise Line’s role as an ambassador of Disney storytelling, bringing beloved entertainment and characters to families across the globe.

Thanks, that's interesting but glad to hear they made such a swift effort to rescue those folks. It's unfortunate that it made for an unpleasant ride but at least they're safe.

Usually after an at-sea rescue the people are kept down on Deck 1 within the health area until they can be brought to a port. Was it any different since there were no paying guests on this crossing?

Was that the one where they also rescued the dog? We met the captain and he had a story about Cubans being recued

I don't know as we weren't told. They were taken to medical (as per protocol) but not sure if they were put in a stateroom or..?

BEAUTIFUL. So much prettier than the Wish (in my opinion). Same stupid layout though LOL

How so?

Did you take photos of the atrium? Sorry, refuse to call it the theatre.

Agree, hate the layout of the Wish class ships.

the Aladdin theming with the dark teals/blues is much prettier than the Cinderella theming in the grand hall.

ALL of the elements on the Aquamouse are working so I got to experience that for the 1st time LOL.

Haunted Mansion Parlor is SO COOL. Marvel night 2 menu is WAY better than night 1. Coco wasn't 100% ready so we didn't get a full show. We got to see a dress rehersal of BATB which is amazing.

I have over 1000 photos/videos but we're not allowed to share until after 11/20
