Disney to start hiring 15yo's

Again...I am almost 15 and I see how immature many of us are. However, many of us are very mature, even more than (like others have said) some 24 year olds will ever be! I'm about sick of listening to you people gripe and carry on about how immature all 15 year olds are...sry to be blunt but your wrong! Even the most immature can be mature and serious when they know they have to. I have experienced people like this a lot in the last school year (Freshmen in High School). True, there are those that can't be mature for some reason or another, but honestly, I would say that about 95% of my class (about 460 people) are the people that are either always mature or 99% of the time mature. About 5% are immature, but mature when they know they have to be. And the other 5% are always immature. Like previously said, Disney will not hire ANY 15 year old! They are going to screen them very tough probably compared to an 18 or 19 year old. Notice they limited the jobs for us as well. That is probably because of one of two reasons:
1. These jobs are the "easiest" or best for a 15 year old, accourding to Disney (or Eisner)
2. These jobs need to be filled but not many people apply for these.
Either way, Disney will be sure they get the right person to fill it, not some immature, childish (bad way, not the good way), stupid person who doesn't know how to press some buttons on the cash register.

Trust me, Disney will be fine with 15 year olds working there. And quite honestly, I don't expect them to apply in the bagillions. I think it will start off slow them possibly increase in numbers, but I really don't think all that many will apply at first.

MORAL: Everyone calm down! We 15 year olds are fine to work at Disney. Quit complaining about this and find something more important to complain about...not the age of workers and how "all 15 year olds are immature".

So magically, the life experience hits you at 16 or 18? Life experience is a personal matter, some people have more than others. There are some kids who have gone though more in their lives than a 50 year old has.

Sorry, but a cut off point has to be made. So should we allow 14 YOs if 15, then 13 YOs if 14, and so on? This is from the same line of thought that would make an 89 an A because it was unfair for a 90 to be the cut off point for an A. What happens then to the person who got an 88? Why shouldn't they be bumped up to an A as well? Life experience is not merely a personal matter. We're talking about people who don't have a driving experience yet, haven't gone to Prom, haven't graduated from high school. Sorry, but these experiences DO MATTER!! No one does not have to do all things, but with the cumulative experience comes a better understanding for most. Might there be a handful of 15 YOs out there who could handle this, yes. But are they worth the added troubles, regulations and responsibilities placed upon Disney, ABSOLUTELY NOT! I've seen the problems with all workers under the age of 18, let alone 15 YOs and they are a big, big, big problem. By the way, you are not just going to get the best of all 15 YOs simply because they are related to a current CM and are applying for work at Disney. If it were merely a maturity issue, that would be one thing, but it is much, much, much more than a maturity issue.

I dont mind as much. I was working part time since I was 12. I would have loved to be at Disney instead of Burger King at 15.

Personally I don't care how old they are as long as they make the Disney experience for the guests. If they are respectful and mature and make other's vacations and experiences enjoyable at a young age, the more the merrier.
