Rumor Disney To Remove "Magic Carpets Of Aladdin"

No, the carpet ride doesn't phase me in the least. I don't ride it but many families do and I see no reason to advocate for something to be removed that many families like just because I don't like it. Seems rather self involved to me.
Its not the ride, its the location. im fine with the idea of it being there, it just congests the area and the slow load times make the wait longer than it really should be. Im the biggest fan of a and b rides to spread crowds out, but the flow pattern of that area leaves alot to be desired. Now if it could be moved that would be awesome, but expense and where to relocate it is less clear.

I Work At WDW And "Magic Carpets" May soon be retired. currently, the place where magic carpets are is too overcrowded. magic carpets would most likely be removed and will not be replaced by anything except for some palm trees and benches

Magic Carpet Is Facing Maintenance Issues And Is Breaking Down Often
This seems absurd?

My Sources Say That Kathleen Kennedy Will Be Executed At Dawn For Star War Crimes. I Work At Disney's Vero Beach Resort So I Know Things. But I may not be right. But I Am. Take This As A Speculation.

Bob Chapek Is Not What He Seems. Do Not Trust The Stork.
My sources say Mickey waffles and churros will eventually become their own food group after Disney buys the FDA. I consult magic 8-balls, wish upon stars, and make decisions off which duck gets pieces of bread the fastest.

Also, anyone else think the Turkey Legs should come with a side of meade and a Viking hat.

I think it is entirely plausible that a 50 year old ride that isn’t a triumph of imagineering is about to be retired. It also may not be. It’s not a deal-breaker for our family either way.

Unless its to be replaced by another attraction (trees and benches don't count) I can't see why this would be removed. There's always a line there and kids like it.

Sorry, I didn’t say that correctly. It’s Aladdin themed, so obviously not actually 50 years old, but the concept is nothing that wasn’t available in the amusement parks of my long-ago childhood. It always struck me that Aladdin could have inspired something more elaborate.

I would all for it to go. For one it opens up the area and gets rid of the congestion. The big one for me is that ride already exists in the park as Dumbo. There is no need for 3 of the same ride in one park.
Yeah we choose one. And as much as we prefer Astro Orbiter for the views, we also refuse to wait in the lines it usually demands when we can hit Dumbo or Aladdin (or wait for Triceratop at AK).

But the Carpets are fun for the camel alone. I’m conflicted on this one, but either way I’d shrug and move on.

Just sounds like another "Disney Diminishment" to me. Primeval Whirl is gone and I hear rumors that other rides may be retired. I won't even get into all the "perks" that have gone away...like say parking or the little bottles of shampoo.

Disney is headed in the wrong direction and not sure how this supports the ongoing yearly 8% - 10% price increases. "Less for more" does not seem like a sustainable ongoing business model.

I can't say that I'm to the point of not going back yet. But the magic is certainly diminishing and that is disheartening.
If they do remove this, I'm sure the replacement would be more along the lines of the Terrace in DL Adventureland.
I'm all for it, I can remember before the carpets, the fountain outside of Tiki Room was much bigger, there were planters and tables and the occasional bird show over by the walkway into Frontierland.
If you want a spinner, there are two dumbos and Astro Orbiter.

Same rides... You mean like the 3 roller coasters plus Goofy? The four boat rides (five counting Splash)? The four or five omnimover type attractions?
