News Disney to offer discount on new MagicBand designs as an optional alternative to complimentary solid color MagicBands

I really wish they would come up with more resort-specific magic bands. I know they have one that's Grand Floridian themed, but where are the rest??

Does anyone know the discount (if any) you get to the regular prices for the MagicBands with designs when you book a resort stay?

I think it depends on the designs they are offering on the MDE. I got a $10 discount for my “Minnie Rocks the Dots” band

I saw the old solid-colored bands are free for annual passholders. My other resort stays do not have them available, only the discounted ones.

That figures. I just placed my order for my June trip yesterday. Good thing I don't think I would've chosen any of these designs anyway.

Although that Mickey Americana band looks cool.

I hate that they know how much we love Figment and Mr. Toad and Orange Bird and continue to leave them out of the parks unless they're on merchandise (or a grave stone). (And refuse to restore Imagination to it's former glorious self...in technologically updated form, of course.)

Figment! I wish they'd at least sell a Mr. Toad shirt in the parks somewhere also. You'd think they know that some people care about this stuff.
