Wasn't that the show originally intended for Crescent Lake in WDW with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber that was later dropped because Eisner lost interest in it?

No, it's not dead. We're still designing Phase I and then we're going to polish it really nicely so it shines (add and take away attraction, shops, restaurants.), and then work begins on Phase II! (Lava Lagoon + DisneySea + several resort hotels + the World Showcase area= Phase II)

Is my official resort hotel Renaissance Resort at Disney's Texas Resort going to be included? In which phase? BTW, I've got plenty of good idead for DisneySea and Beastlie Kingdomme-style parks.

I've already posted my idea for the Quest theme park in page 5. ImaginEAR you should post a final draft of all the amenities in Phase 1. I've already started work on the list of countries, resorts and attractions for World Showcase and it's all gonna be BIG.

Oh yes... A full, final list of stuff w/ small descriptions will come in a new thread once we finish it. I really want to re-do Main Street U.S.A.

wdwswan&dolphin- yes, the Renaissance resort will come, but it is the only non-disney resort on property, located in a far-away corner of the resort. Just so that the location will attract more people to the Disney hotels.

It shouldn't be too far, as I have specifically said that it is within walking distance to several DTR attractions. Also, I think we should have a small shopping center anchored by a grocery store like Crossroads at Lake Buena Vista which is adjacent to the entrance of WDW. Just a thought.

No.... nothing in the resort is in walking distance, except several resorts with park entrances/pathways to the parks.

I think Phase I. Do you want to finish DTD after the Grand Texan?

Why, thank you for the invitation! I will, but Disney's Grand Texan Resort and Conference Center is now Disney's Charleston Bay Resort & Conference Center. The resort complex will also include The Villas at Charleston Bay.

ARCHITECTURAL STYLE
Antebellum South

ACCOMMODATIONS TYPES
The rooms will be 392 square feet for standard, 588 for Junior Suites, 784 for Charlotte Suites, 1,176 square feet for the Atticus Suite, and 1,568 square feet for the Rhett and Scarlett Suite. There will be 722 rooms in total. The Villas, each sharing a southern mansion type building with no more than three others, will come in Studio (4 people), One Bedroom (6 people), Two Bedroom (8 people) and Grand Dame (12 people). There will be 207 villas in all. Many of the rooms and villas overlook The Gulf of Mexico.

RESTAURANTS

Tara The fine dining establishment at Charleston Bay, Tara serves a blend of French and African cuisine in a setting overlooking The Gulf of Mexico.

House of Blues Westside Texas Forming a bridge between Charleston Bay Resort and Downtown Disney Westside, this restaurant serves Southern comfort food in a jazzed up, funky setting.

Atlanta Grille This restaurant serves up typical buffet fare for breakfast and lunch. The latter has Mickey and pals, and the former has Pooh and his friends. For dinner, the hot serving area of the buffet line transforms into a large show kitchen for a fantastic a la carte dinner with the menu featuring any meat one can think of, as well as some Southern standbys for dessert.

Tequila Mockingbird The lobby bar's decor is inspired by the classic novel for which it is named.

The SWAMP Arcade and quick service area architecturally designed to look like, well, a swamp.

Pool Bar Need I explain?

SHOPS

Miss Melanie's The general sundries shop at the resort.

Gallerie du Sud A shop selling fine items inspired by Southern grace and elegance.

RECREATION

Magnolia Pool The main pool, shaped like a large magnolia flower.

Quiet Pool Again, need I explain?

The Strand Approximately half a mile of sandy shores line The Gulf here, and the whole area can be used for volleyball, sunbathing, and a variety of other recreational activities.

Downtown Disney Marina Because we can't put a marina on the ocean without liability issues, resort guests are free to use the marina at Downtown Disney, which is within walking disatance of the resort.

So, how do you like? A note to ImaginEAR- can we put Downtown Disney, Charleston Bay, and maybe another resort or two on a penninsula to provide both a sheltered bay and the ocean? Just a thought...

Wow.... that's great. One thing I don't really understand is that Tara serves Mediterranean and Asian cuisine...? Isn't the theme Antebellum South? We already have a Mediterranean Resort.

A peninsula sounds great!

How many parks are we gonna have? So far there are 3 in the works right? Magic Kingdom, DisneySea, and Discovery World and then there's the one ungated park- World Showcase.

I kinda wanna put up an Animal Kingdom and a Disney Studios (licensed by ALL the movie studios including Universal)

So far I have 4 water parks planned:

Pirates of the Carribean Water Adventure (in World Showcase)

The Big Blue (based on Finding Nemo, near DisneySea)

Typhoon Lagoon

Geyser Mountain (full of hot springs)

1. Disney Studios- yup. It's coming
2. Animal Kingdom- Nope. It's not coming. I love the theme, but it's only something that belongs in Florida
3. Discovery World- is this the Indoor area? I like it, except for the Indoor part.
4. Pirates of the Caribbean Water Adventure- YES! But not in World Showcase...
5. The Big Blue- Can I have more info?
6. Typhoon Lagoon- NO! We get Lava Lagoon instead. It's themed to more of a Rainforest with the icon being a fiery volcano, different from Typhoon.
7. Geyser Mountain- What would the theme be?

I agree, and furthermore, people may become confused between Tara at the Charleston Bay Resort and Thera at the Renaissance Resort, which serves Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cusine. (FYI: Thera was an island civilization in the Mediterranean that in ancient times was ravaged by a great earthquake, tsunami, and volcanic eruption that caused it to be lost forever, much like Atlantis. What is left is an atoll called Santorini that serves as a popular resort destination, I believe.)
