Disney Stuff you like that's NOT represented in the parks?

If you like Mickey Mouse, Pooh Bear, or the Princesses, then you are in LUCK, because WDW is wall-to-wall with those characters.

Some IPs, though, get no love. No rides, no character meets, little to no merchandise, and/ or little easter eggs and subtle nods (Texas John Slaughter gets a nod, if you look close enough).

So, when you visit WDW, what absence causes YOU a pang of regret?

Great mouse detective. With all the sherlock craze these days it'd be a given, no? I love that movie. Surely people wouldn't object to him being in UK in Epcot?

... I don't have the heart to break it to you.

Aristocats (could at least have a nod in Main Street USA or France).

You mean ASIDE from Marie meeting on Main Street USA?

Robin Hood kind of counts, cause they do bring out the characters for his movie. Not very often, I'll grant you, though Prince John and The Sheriff can often be spotted for villain events.

I've mention this before, so it should come as no surprise, but Gargoyles. The finest animated series Disney has ever produced, and not only is there zip in the parks, but many cast members don't even know what it is! Some have heard of it, and sometimes I get a "Wait, DISNEY made that?"

Outside of nods in Disneyland, the Disney Afternoon series as a whole don't get much credit anymore in the parks...

On my spirited "vacation" here in Ukraine I discovered that almost the entire lineup is played every afternoon here. One day I caught Gargoyles and Gummi Bears. Another day I caught DuckTales changing over to TaleSpin. The only one I think I missed was Darkwing Duck!

The Black Hole, Treasure Planet, Atlantis...
Could you and I possibly be related?

Somewhere I have pictures of my bedroom circa early 80's with a Black Hole poster on the wall. That same poster plus an Atlantis poster adorn the wall of my 6 yr old daughter's room.

Quality films and thus quality attractions can be made without the existence of cuddly creatures but the marketing and merchandizing just isn't the same

I think a Black Hole overhaul of Space Mountain would be neat...

Though, I'm not a fan of tying EVERY ride to a franchise...

The Black Cauldron (a favorite of mine as a child).
Brother Bear (could easily be fit into AK or at least Adventureland as a nod)
The Fox and the Hound (another childhood favorite, could fit into the Splash Mountain area of Frontierland?)
I saw the Black Cauldron the summer it came out at the Disney Summer Magic event at Radio City Music Hall. There was talk then of additions to WDW if it had been successful.

There were costumed and face characters at the event but I think that only the Castle Tour in Tokyo ever featured any of the characters. Man I wish I had seen that tour before it closed down!

I'd love to see Captain Nemo and the nautilus once again be represented somewhere on property. Take out that other Nemo and stick the captain in the LS?

As for more traditional Disney movies/characters, The Rescuers would be great, The Great Mouse Detective, a Jungle Book attraction, and 101 Dalmations. Black Hole I believe has always been an opportunity for a great attraction. And to this day I don't understand why Aladdin doesn't have anything better than a spinner. The Genie alone deserves special treatment.

Gurgi had a counter-service restaurant that lasted until the very early 90s, if I recall correctly. Don't know if that counts as "featuring the characters".
