Disney Springs Mask Enforcement

So, I went to Disney Springs yesterday and didn’t feel fully safe.

I'm looking at your pictures again and Springs looks shockingly desolate.......but yet you felt vulnerable taking home a disease.

I'm placing higher odds of you succumbing to a heart attack while posting online the dangers of those folk unmasked than you contracting a communicable disease from them.

July and August are about to kick in and those of us who live here know that they’re the two most brutal months weather wise of the year. Between the mask requirement and restrictions on when you can or can’t go, etc., I’m more than likely going to be canceling my AP until all of this is over. I’m happy with my Tables In Wonderland and a breakfast at The Wave once in a while to get my Disney fix.

You bring up a good point. I was looking at Shanghai weather and it's upper 70s/80s with rain. It is 100 degrees here in the rain. All I can see is images of guests passing out due to heat exhaustion. And I fear that number will be even higher for cms.

I really wonder why people really think people are passing out by wearing a mask in Florida weather. I have already been twice to Universal and twice to Busch Gardens. I'm fine. I haven't seen anyone gasping for air and struggling. My cousins who are 5-8 years old are fine with wearing one (it has to have designs for them and not plain). There are relaxation isolated zones in every park where you can take off your mask. I' sure Disney will have those too.

Wearing a mask while riding roller coasters doesn't affect my enjoyment same with weather. Ya'll are just weak people or really just like to complain a lot. If you're healthy and don't have any medical problems at all, deal with it or don't go.

I am normally a strong supporter of universal but in this case. Universal (no part) nearly covers the land area of a single Disney park or hotel. Maybe except hs. You also make a point about being healthy. Many people are healthy but add that with heat and a mask, not good.

I don't care about the mask but if you think people won't pass out to heat exhaustion you are crazy. And keep in mind it's only June. We haven't even gotten to the real summer yet.

Would WDW enforce this way?
This didn't annoy me as much as he is old and we all know old people are stubborn as hell. I just don't understand why people beforehand knew about the rules but still likes to provoke people and end up embarrassing themselves anyways.

You don't hear news of citizens in other countries with humid hot weather passing out either. They are much worse though as everyone is required to wear once they step out of the house. They can even be denied entry to any establishments. We are implementing that now yet our citizens don't wanna follow it? So is it really about the heat or it's just an excuse cause your opinions about masks is they are ineffective and a violation of rights?

I'm going to be specific, people here aren't people in China. If I grew up in China and wore a mask from the day I was born different story. Nice try though

I am not Chinese. I was not born in China. I did not grow up in China. However, I DO have breathing issues. Wearing a mask is very uncomfortable to me. It makes it worse when it is hot outside. But you know what I do when I go into a store or around other people? That's right, I wear a mask. If I can do it even with my breathing problems then I am positive others can do it as well. And it is not infringing on any "perceived rights" I think I might have. This is not North Korea. The government is not saying that you HAVE to wear a mask at all times in public but business owners DO have the right to refuse service to someone not wearing a mask if they choose to. In the end you can either wear a mask and help reduce the pandemic and enjoy yourself in public or you can refuse to wear the mask and be denied service at a lot of places. But do not fret! There are plenty of places that either do not require masks or outright deny service to those wearing one. Either way you still have choices. ;)

Masks help prevent touching your face.

Having worn a mask to the supermarket yesterday, I think I touched my face more to adjust my mask than I should have done, so it might actually have increased my face touching. I also realised how often I might smile to acknowledge people and how much harder communication can be.

But other than those small adjustments when it slipped down my nose slightly I wore the mask from the moment i got out the car and then used hand sanitiser before removing it once I was back in the car.

I'm not even talking about China. China has a way different climate than what the countries I'm talking about that have year round humid climate like Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia etc. They all are wearing masks. Just cause the virus started in China doesn't mean it has to be included.

Yeah so, you're using climate and heat as an excuse cause you don't agree with wearing masks. The passing out from heat is a ridiculous argument. If you're weak as hell, go to the relaxation zones and rest then put it back on.

Your posts remind me of the joke where a young man beats an old lady to a parking spot, saying "You have to be young and fast." The old lady then repeatedly rams his car, saying "No, you have to be old and rich."

We old, weak people with health issues are the ones who have enough discretionary income to take our families on expensive WDW vacations and pay for the upcharge events Disney loves so well. Even where that isn't the case, Disney is a family vacation for many people who may decide to go elsewhere if grandma is too old and weak to wear a mask in hot, humid weather. Trust me, Disney is not as willing to kick us to the curb as you are.

Right now, the restrictions are working in Disney's favor because it needs to limit capacity. But people staying away because of the mask requirement is going to be a real problem for them when they want to increase capacity. And there are plenty of people who will delay a trip to WDW simply because they prefer not to pay big bucks to be uncomfortable.

You got offended by being called weak and took it really deep when it wasn't? It wasn't even the point. The point is he said people would be passing out cause of the heat. If you can't stand the heat then you're weak not literally weak as in old and fragile.

When did this become a TED talk?

Actually in Orlando it's required to wear a mask in public and businesses
