Disney should sell scent candles that smell like Resorts, Rides, Parks, etc.

When I walk into the Pop Century Resort.. theres a certain smell. I have no clue what it is.. but you can really smell it when you walk in through the doors near the Everything Pop store. I have no idea what that smell is.. but its unique to the Pop Century at disney world and if my eyes were closed and i was placed there I could tell you where I was just by the smell.

Theres so many places like that in Disney Word. Splash Mountain, Pirates, etc all have their own unique smells.

Anyway.. me and my wife were getting some new candles this past weekend for our house and we were like "oh this one sort of smells like the pop century" and then I realized that I would definitely buy disney world themed scented candles. It would be so cool to have those cool scents that remind you of certain disney world locations in your own home.

The only smell I could remember was from Stiches Great Escape, that chili dog burp.....eeewwwweeee:hurl: It haunted us for months. I can't even remember any other scent from our trip...how sad is that?

How 'bout the smell of the monorail in the late afternoon :hurl::lol:
I love the smell of Pirates and Splash
The clean, wet Boardwalk in the morning
Residual fireworks smoke
Goofy's Candy Company
A fresh, cool hotel room
Each of the different countries seem to have a yummy smell too:
French pastries, Italian Pizza, Tea in Twinings, etc.

Oh yes I'd buy Disney scented candles too, I'd love to close my eyes, walk into my living room, and relive the magic :king:

I make candles and actually use my profits from it to go to WDW! Last year I was having a candle party and decided to make some "Disney scented candles". I made chocolate/vanilla and named it Mickey Bars, I made a pine scent and called it 100 acre woods, I made a pineapple one and called it Dole Whip and I made up a fruity, soft, fizzy type scent and called it Pixie Dust. They sold, but weren't huge sellers. Most people just aren't the Disney fans that we are!

Awesome!

I would love to get scented Disney candles, any scent.
- The smell of Orlando (it smells fresh like oranges)
- The smell of the monorail
- The smell of Disney World shopping bags
- The smell of Typhoon Lagoon innertubes
- The smell of Main Street Bakery/Ice Cream Parlor
- The smell of Dole Whip (mmmm. yummy)
- The smell of Board Walk after it rains
- The smell of Epcot Funnel cakes
- The smell of Disney World POPCORN!
- The smell of Wishes Fireworks
- The smell of the campfire at Animal Kingdom Lodge
- The smell of Mickey Premium Bars
- The smell of Glazed Almonds
- The smell of the Swan and Dolphin Hotel

ALL OF THOSE or anything that can remind me of Disney.

I have heard the sense of smell is strongly tied to memories, moreso than the other senses. If you smell something you haven't smelled in years, for example, memories and emotions from the last time you encountered the smell come flooding back to you. This has happened to me a number of times.

For many folks, a "smells of Disney" line of candles would be huge sellers and bring about a wave of great feelings and memories to them.

Just playing around with some titles here...

Essence of Pirates
Scents from the Briar Patch
The Aroma of Space
The Monorail Musk (hmm...maybe not that one)
Oranges on the Horizon
Resort Breezes
Rome's Burning
Dark Ride
Popcorn from The World
Cool AC Breeze

The Poly atrium when it was new! The scent is still there but not as pure. Perhaps because of all the eateries. If they could bottle that aroma (or make a candle) it would sell big time!

This is such a great idea...i love burning the sented candles and what better smells then the smell of disney...add some of the music from the parks and it might just be the formula for a temporary mental escape!!!:sohappy:
