Disney resorts transfering your stuff to another Disney resort

There is a chance that for my 2 week birthday vacation that I might booked 2 Disney resorts. For example days 1 to 8 at Animal Kingdom Lodge and days 8 to 15 at Wilderness Lodge (or another words first 7 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge and last 7 nights at Wilderness Lodge. For check in and check out day I am there for the whole day).

I go solo and I don't drive. So if I did something like this I would need Disney (or whoever) to transfer my stuff from one resort to the other. Day number 8 would seem like the day that the transfer would take place as that is the middle day of my vacation, but it could still be a different day. I have heard that Disney does trasnfer your stuff from one resort to the other if you do this. Who all has done this before?

Now right now I do have the Dolphin booked for my birthday vacation at the Floridian resident rate. Now there is a very good chance that I might stay at the Dolphin for my birthday just as there is a very good chance that I might stay somewhere else. I went ahead and booked the Dolphin so I for sure will have something in Disney booked at a good rate. I think I have heard the Dolphin and Swan will not transfer your stuff to a Disney resort (I believe this is because the Swan and Dolphin are not really Disney resorts).

Anyways where I stay for my birthday is very open. I just always want to stay in either a DisneyWorld resort or the Swan or Dolphin. Downtown Disney would be the next choice after that, but chances our I can always find something before I go looking for a downtown disney resort. When I go to the Polynesian this August I will be looking for the bounce back in my room to see if there is anything for my birthday week (or maybe around birthday week). Then later on when the passholder rates come out I will look for good passholder rates for a Disney resort. Even If I book a Disney resort at a passholder rate after that I still might would change resorts. Where I stay for my birthday vacation does not get official right away.

I hope you're kidding.

You didn't really complain that your bananas were bruised during luggage transfer, did you?
And let them bring you fresh ones????

That would be so beyond lame if you did.:hammer:

I think you must have been kidding.

No, I am not kidding. I don't want my banana's bruised!

Well, I did not actually say anything. They got crushed by a bag while the bellman was unloading the luggage cart and I told the bellman not to worry and later we came back to the room and there were a few fresh banana's on the counter. I requested him when we checked out and handed him a bonus tip for being so thoughtful.

Wow that stinks, but just changing rooms down the hall and they could not do that? What did they do that was so bad?

I have changed between resorts many many times and have not had an issue. Even with refridgerator and freezer items all has gone good, except one time they did bruise my bananas and they sent up some replacements. Personally I'd rather use the money to tip Bell services and spend the time that I would have been shuffling between resorts hanging in the parks.

it was more a cluster of little things in combo with what i can only assume were over tired, stressed, or overworked cm's. it started when we checked in at 8am with the concierge who assured us we were in a room with two queen beds. we get to room after emh and i can't open the room door. so it's late, i'm sitting in the hallway waiting to be let in. it took 30 minutes to get what turned out to be the same front desk night guy up to let us in...king room one bed (i was traveling with another adult not a sleeping partner and we both have medical issues that make sleeping on a pull out sofa not possible...plus paying club level prices with concierge that morning assuring us we were in double...anyway...) after waiting in the hallway then finding out we were in a king room the front desk guy said...huh, yeah you'll have to call the front desk if you have a problem...HE was the front desk and oh btw don't leave the room you won't be able to get back in with your keys. i said "do what?" he said (and remember he's the only guy from the front desk) he again tells me if you have a problem you'll have to call the front desk...what again??? i say and ask "aren't you the only one at the front desk...he says yes and he leaves. so after a bunch of phone calls and me keeping my cool but being somewhat stern at this point (i deal with difficult situations in my day to day job so i'm not the blow up personality...just fyi). we eventually get to a point that we've been assured of the first double to open in the morning (at first they were going to have us just hope wait and see...um no). so they tell us to leave our bags packed in our room and they'll move them to our new room no later than 4pm (their time frame not mine). i ask do we need to take them down to the bell hop.concierge...they say no, this is part of our club level service. we come back at 11pm can't get into either room. wait 40 minutes for them to let us into the new room...no bags. they've lost them. they're so sorry. turns out they were still sitting in the first room which they insisted was impossible since they'd already put another guest in that room so of course no we couldn't look to see if they're still there. after 2 hours of waiting for them to find my bags the new people in the 1st room called my cell (they got the number from the bag tag) and i went and got my bags. to top it off the hotel wanted to charge me for a bell fee for moving my bags. so we have to meet with the concierge the next morning to get new keys to the room we're in because of course no one wants to deal with us at that point...the concierge says and i quote "i don't know why people come here at this time of year, they should just stay home with their families it would make my job a lot easier" (we were there the 1st week of december btw). i've never had so many little things go wrong in conjunction with such i don't give a ________ attitudes in my life and especially never at disney. i've had over the top great service at asm, contemporary cl, gf cl, poly cl, wl, pofq x3, and cbr but you couldn't pay me to stay at bw ever again.

OK, that's cool. And good service by the Bellman. You were nice to request him and give him a good tip.

As a former Bell Captain for 12 years, I was involved in several instances where people would make damage claims for things that were just ridicuous, so I get defensive of Bellmen.

But sounds like he created a problem, fixed it, and was later rewarded by your generosity.

Good show!!!!
