I just did a mental add up of our trip. At first it was just 10 days at POFQ for 7 people ( 2 rooms) with free dining..so in my mind..reasonably priced.

THEN I added a night at BWI because I got the room for 30% off.. well then I added ANOTHER night because 2 quiet days is so much better than one and the room wasn't THAT expensive ( in relation to 2 rooms at POFQ). SUCked in eh?

Then out came Photopass+..well I debated and Disney won my money again ( I do NOT say this negatively..this is all per my own choice).. I mean really..pictures..the more the better right?

next MNSSHP..well who doesnt want to trick or treat in the MK?? we sure do.. and off goes more of my hard earned money..again VERY willingly..but ya know.. Disney def has the market on magically turning my money into their money...and leaving me smiling as I hand it over to them :) 477 hours to go!

They do suck you in!! We added 2 more nights, added Photopass+, upgraded QSDP to regular DP, & we are doing MNSSHP!!! Trip started off being "budget" minded but, we just keep adding more & more!!!

LOL! I'm glad to see that we're not the only ones! We added 2 days as well, were already planning on going to MNSSHP, and just added Photopass+ Like others said, our kids talk about and look at our pictures of Disney the whole year that we are not at Disney.

Ditto. We went to a moderate when the price to upgrade the dining plan was so much higher than last year.. then we added more and more..

Exactly! We work very hard and we dont wanna skimp at Disney. I go without so does my hubby.. we are minimalist everywhere in our lives..except Disney. We went 11 years without going because of raising 4 kids ( 3 born within 3.5 years)..now that they are older and we can financially go..we go big or go home! ( heck I may just have thought of the name of my TR..lmao)
I like it! GBOGH!!! Perfect!! Our trip in 2009 was really like that! 10 days at the GF with Deluxe Dining and all the trimings including in room surprises! It was crazy town how much that was but it was one of the best times of our life!! And my DH and haven't been to WDW together since so this year - we are not saying no! :)

Usually we go big when we stay on property (Wilderness Lodge was our resort of choice in November) and when we stay off property, we make up for not having to pay for our resort (we own a timeshare at Vistana) by eating at all the expensive sit down table service places. We're budgeting big time on this trip next month but only because it wasn't a planned trip. Staying at All Star Sports, free dining (we did pay to upgrade to TS dining rather than QS), already have our AP's, airfare was pretty cheap for us... All we added in was MNSSHP. All totaled up, without souvenirs and a little extra spending money my total came to $1,000. Not bad for an 8 day / 7 night stay at the world. We like to consider this a "bonus vacation" because we weren't even planning to go back until next May, which then we will be traveling with my very money conscious aunt and her two kids and will be staying at All Star Sports. We have to keep it small because we also have a cruise we have to pay off by next June AND just yesterday we started the inital stages of planning my other cousin's first trip next November. She will be 15 and she is so excited already. After the cruise we are planning on staying at (hopefully) The Polynesian and we're thinking of going Boardwalk villas for my cousins stay. So while these next 2 trips are more of a "budget" for us, it allows us to take those 2 extra additional trips and go big!! :)

Yes, I've officially been sucked in...

For this trip, I've added an extra day (sure, it was to get free dining, but still, now we'll have one more day), after changing resorts 4x- DH somehow got me to justify upgrading our room a tad, I constantly add more dining as we get closer to our travel date, and now I'm thinking about dessert party. On top of that...I've been debating about a trip for either our anniversary next year, my milestone bday, or both...I should be concentrating on this trip, but I keep wondering if we can swing the GF or an MK facing room in the CR tower...and of course, where to eat and the details of the cake(s). Even thinking about combining it with a cruise! Yeah- totally sucked in :D
