Disney Purchasing Universal

I read earlier in the week that Vivendi was selling Universal.
It was also mentioned that Disney was interested in buying it.
I was amazed to see so many folk excited at the prospect of this purchase.
I for one think that this would be disasterous.
1)Universal keeps Disney on its toes with competitive aspect.
2)A further outlay of major dollars would spread them"too thin"
3)The location is just a bit too far north to be considered part of WDW Resorts Area.
4)Its nice to have a bit of variety in the Orlando area(ie:non Disney related rides and attractions) .

I think this thread should have been posted in the general disscusion for the WDW co. section....HOWEVER, there are already SO manny threads about this topic. I think Steve would like to keep new threads of this topic at a minumum. No problem though, you can just post that same statement in a thread that's already in use...they won't mind. :animwink:

Disney buying Universal would be terrrible... I go to Universal to escape Disney... Where would I go if they bought them??? Arrrgghhh!!!!

That was plan b if the post i put didnt work...lol. Obviously, it didnt. To all future thread starters of this topic, PLEASE DONT!!!!
If we get too many threads, it WILL slow down this site's server, and Steve wont be happy. It's fine if it is something of a diffrent nature, but for this topic, please use a thread that is already in progress. Thanks.

Unfortunately...I don't get on this Forum as much as I would like.
Therefore,to be able to look back over several days of threads is near to impossible.

You don't have to look over several days of threads. Just look in them (especially the ones were the subject matter should go). You can also do a search to save time of looking.

I apologized for repeating the thread.
I know I don't have to look at every single thread.
I did do a search in the General Discussion with the word "Universal".
Several threads came up ,1 of which actually mentioned in the title "Disney Purchase of Universal"....and that was it!!(hardly an"incessant onslaught")...
I did also notice that one of the mods moved three over to the Rumors forum.
So,unless I'm expected to search through several forums...??

Now...am I going to have my hand smacked again...please either let the thread go with no response or reply to my original..its that simple.

fair enough... but there was a thread, posted by steve, in the same forum this was originally posted, just before you posted this one. It said, to not do that. That's what angered me. As for the name calling, I didn't stoop that low... I will be sarcastic, and even goofy some times, but never an idiot. As for the he/she connotation... how many people of the female persuasion do you know that are named Rob and go by the handle 'mktiggerman?'
