I've seen it's common for people my age to use popcorn buckets as bags to store keys/phones/wallets/etc. while at the parks. It's why TDR popcorn buckets are also sought after; at that point, they're more like lunch boxes/small purses more than anything.
I have the Dumbo one from TDR. it's is off the chain. DLR would NEVER.

I bought the Chip and Dale one for my nephew and he uses it as a little satchel, hahahaha

The Dumbo one is adorable! DLR's only now beginning to try but just can't keep up; the balloon buckets are cute but done to death, and the recent Toy Story Christmas one is ugly as hell. I think the Elliott one is the first one I can see actually beginning to approximate TDR bucket quality.

I wasn't impressed with the DLR Dumbo so out of curiosity I looked up the TDR one. Wow - what a huge difference in quality. Making me think twice about the ones on ebay ...

Just looked it up. It’s definitely higher quality but I need the Disneyland color scheme. Those Casey Jr. popcorn buckets they came out with a few years ago looked pretty cool.

I just don't get it. Why don't they sell these things as figurines? Why are they always "popcorn buckets". It's so impractical. People aren't using them to store popcorn.
If they are figurines they lose their mojo. With popcorn buckets, people feel like they’re finding novelty in something, rather than having it directly shoved in their face.

As much as I wanted to be there on the 22nd, I cancelled my reservation because of the rain. I hope those that go enjoy being wet and miserable with no fireworks or parade. At least WOC will happen. Will gladly wait another day to view the Magic.

It’s not raining anymore.

With a week forward forecast in Southern California, anything less than 90% means it will not rain. 60 to 90% means that it may mist in the foothills. Anything less than 60 means that it's BS and it will be blue skies.

I must have grabbed your reservation as I got one for the 22nd last night. My friends have reservations at Carnation Cafe, so I will have some crappy food while we watch the crowds.

Why not include these as an up charge on the dining package or at least have them for sale for guests at Plaza Inn for those who purchased the dining package.

I’ll answer my own question. Because they know they will be purchased regardless
