The posted standby wait time for the new show is currently at 65 minutes:

Maybe not the best comparison but all I could find for now. Ultimately the show matters more, but this is the only thing I’m surprised they didn’t upkeep lol, guess they ran out of budget.
There’s an old, dilapidated shrimping net covered in various types of chocolate ice cream deep in the abyss of my backyard. I’ll have my carrier pigeon fly to Bob’s with a message letting him know that I’ll gladly donate it to help alleviate the financial strain of buying a knew one. It’s the least I can do to show my appreciation for The Great One.

No Lightning Lane Yet for New The Little Mermaid Show at Disney's Hollywood Studios as Wait Times Hit 85 Minutes

This has to be the longest standby time ever for a continuously running show.

Any idea what the hourly capacity is on this?

Also I assume it's basically 2 full casts just running every other show?

Geez

Will you knock it off already.

They probably had no choice but to remove it but there you go making assumptions.

Old props and netting get dusty and moldy in a rainy state such as Florida therefore it’s a safety hazard.
what's your problem, this is what were here to discuss. If you don't like the opinion too bad. No one here is blind, its obvious it was replaced with nothing and they did nothing, that is a downgrade and detheme.

Is there a full vid of the queue ?

Explanations were already given of why it may look like that temporarily.

Actual reasons not personal anecdotes.

You're really running with something another poster said MIGHT BE a possibility as "explanations already given" and "actual reasons"?

Is there some official confirmation I've missed somewhere that the incredibly basic nautical props that adorned the walls and ceiling for decades without issue were now somehow "too dusty" and/or "too moldy," and that the only possible solution was an undecorated waiting area with an exposed warehouse ceiling?

Making things up that seem plausible enough are no better than personal anecdotes. Vague claims of damage or mold or dust (that last one is hilarious) are not actual explanations. Nor do they excuse opening in such a state if temporary, as anything like that would not have been something that suddenly occurred at the last minute. This isn’t even some sort of custom scenic work, it’s stuff that can just be purchased if it did need to be replaced. The use of netting means the big obstacle of obstructing with smoke detection and fire suppression is addressed by the very nature of the material.

Ditto. Removal without replacement is a downgrade. Point stands. It's been de-themed.
So it’s completely bare bones ???

I gave a rebuttal to your opinion.

We have a right to challenge things said on here.

It was clear they were pressed for time trying to get this open. The queue was probably the last thing on their minds versus the main attraction being show ready.
