Disney springs needs retail billboards…I don't even know why they would waste money on this billboard display. Parks , rooms, and restaurants are at capacity almost always, Parks are packed, always... They don't need to spend more money promoting Disney in the Orlando area... EVERYONE knows they are there...The million dollars they are going to throw at this Billboard "art" display would be better spent on some placemaking and attractions in Tomorrowland...Rather than advertising the park, actually invest in the park and fill the shuttered attractions across property...There is no lack of customers... Just a lack of capacity.
You are not aware of the tourism staffing shortages nationwide? Not just WDW. Companies can't even get people to apply for jobs available.
Increase pay so get ready to pay more since increased labor costs will be passed to the guests.increase pay for line workers make it full time with predictable hours and problem will solve itself, no point in taking a job if child care and commuting costs are equal or greater than take home pay.

So basically, not the people's whose sweat actually goes into production.Less could be paid to the executives and shareholders just as easily.
The Productivity–Pay Gap
The huge gap between rising incomes at the top and stagnating pay for the rest of us shows that workers are no longer benefiting from their rising productivity. Before 1979, worker pay and productivity grew in tandem. But since 1979, productivity has grown eight times faster than typical worker...www.epi.org
Since the 1980's the majority of the increase in productivity has accrued to executives and shareholders not line workers
So basically, not the people's whose sweat actually goes into production.
I've been saying what you posted since I can't remember when.Correct, Is there ANY CM at WDW who is not at least indirectly responsible for the health and safety and happiness of the guests at WDW, I would argue that there are no minimum wage jobs at WDW.
Video billboards, medical office signs or anything over a certain brightness should be banned and where allowed a night dimmerWhatever happened to common sense?
It should be illegal to put video screens along the roadside where drivers might be distracted by them.
Your estimated cost is off by a lot. Need to add at least one, probably two zeros for an LED display that size. And seriously, with throngs of people trying to get into the parks, do they need another advertisement? Does anyone driving down International Drive all of the sudden realize Disney is there?
A total vanity project and waste of money. Especially when budgets for actual improvements, employee wage increases, and attractions are being slashed this is the LAST thing they need to waste 100k plus on....
All of the video billboards are dimmer at night. It is a safety issue. If they were as bright at night as they are during the day they'd blind drivers and cause countless accidents.Video billboards, medical office signs or anything over a certain brightness should be banned and where allowed a night dimmer
You could argue that since the vast majority of retirement savings is in 401k (and other similar plans) these days vs. defined benefit pensions, that the people putting the sweat in benefit in retirement from the increases in shareholder wealth. So basically, not the people's whose sweat actually goes into production.
In the real world, staff get laid off a plenty without notice but one is expected to give a two week notice of resigning.
