A recent study said 45% of American families take on debt to go to WDW. Disney is not only with ones that are wealthy to enjoy . Epic should be no different.
Same study said almost all of that debt was credit cards and almost all was paid off within three months.

That article was notorious click-bait to call "paying by credit card" as "debt."

No one's taking out a second mortgage to go to Disney.

Not a second mortgage that’s extreme. Taking out bank loans to go on vacation. Not smart and downright foolish.

Folks going in debt to go on vacation is nothing new. Folks go into debt for all sorts of things and if they want to go to into debt for a EPI... Er.... WDW vacation. Its their business. I refuse to judge.

That was just a tiny amount. The article itself said it was credit cards and most paid off in three months or less.

Just think about sitting in front of a bank rep saying you want to take out a loan so you can go to Disney... not going to be any where near a significant amount of people doing that, or a bank OKing it.

The article was deceptive.

You gotta be a fool to tell a bank rep the reason you need a bank loan to vacation at Disney. Our land is trillions in debt and a number of it is bank loans to go on vacation and other expenses.

Indeed.

But thanks for avoiding the fact that your regurgitation of a misleading click-bait article was misleading.

The "trillions of debt" you mention isn't fueled by people lying to a bank to go into long term debt just to go to Disney.

You really want that misleading article to be true, don't you? Facts be damned, even.

All I can say is wow.

The only thing in active development right now that can possibly hold a candle to EU is the Villains concept. Everything else is coming soon to Florida is crap in comparison.

They should be devoting a lot more money that they don't have to Florida...like right now...like 4 years ago.

I bought my daughter's college laptop on an Apple credit card. It's being paid off over 12 months. The loan is interest free, I still got the cash-back credit for the purchase, and the money to pay the card down is sitting in a CD earning a small amount of interest (well small last week, today it's outperforming the market by stupid numbers). That laptop shows up as credit card debt. Anyone who wants to run a "people buying overpriced laptops on credit!!!" article can count me as a statistic, but that's meaningless.

I agree...after watching the media preview videos Disney better get it together. The queue for the new Harry Potter ride is unreal.

EPIC is going to be mobbed when it opens because it’s new. This is their game to lose; if they can handle the mobs and operate the park with little or no issues, it will be a big win for the company.

There is no economic crisis for folks with money and the folks with money are the only ones who can afford these theme parks these days.

There are folks who say the world is going to end (or want) the world to end because of (you know who) but it ain’t going to happen. Folks may also think of it in another way, the would is ending so we might as well go on one last vacation.

WDW will be fine in any event as always. In their panic guests may just get some perks back right now that will eventually be taken away again in the long run.
I’m doing a one day vip pass from universal for epic universe in December. I guess they take 20-30 of us around? Not sure how big the groups get but we are Looking forward to it.

You mean despite their efforts to limit ticket sales so that it's not mobbed, you say it'll be mobbed? That's... a take.

This new Iger Disney decade will be twice as good as Eisner's Disney decade because, this new Disney decade, Iger's Disney decade will take at least 20 years to complete, ;) and I think Iger will decide to stick around until its complete. ;)

Very excited for Epic and I have no doubt Disney will do a great job with their new concepts for the villains land. Hoping Disney one ups Hagrids as the best intense coaster for kids. My kids couldn’t get enough of Hagrids back in Christmas of 19.

They already did that when tickets first went on sale. And it continues with the limit of one day at Epic with multi-day ticket sales.

Lets see what happens.

Nothing is written in stone, especially web pages.

Initially I think its smart they limit attendance so they can get their processes and procedures working, but once the limit is lifted, EPIC will be mobbed if they don't blow it.

As I said, its EPIC's game to lose.

WDW is the defending champ, WDW can do the rope a dope.
