I still wonder how much of the company's growth under Iger was due to essentially 0% interest rates from 2009 - 2022.
Iger's had falling or near-0% fed rates for all but a handful of months during the first 15 years as CEO.
Ask Paramount, Fox and WB how that worked out for them. Or NBC-Universal, which was technically the first to fall and be acquired.
Some of the success came from the Disney content flywheel. Whether it was just dumb luck is debatable. But he was pretty lucky for a while there.
