You can! First you cancel the one you want to replace, then book a new one. But, be sure to check the availability calendar first to see if the new date you want is available.
Thank you! I went ahead and reserved.

I also was able apparently to split my current 6-day pass into two. I reserved two days in September and four in June. Another poster and I were asking about this earlier in the thread, and most folks were convinced that one would not be able to do this (that old rules still apply). Perhaps another flaw that works to our benefit? Perhaps I have the "reservation," but the ticket, itself, will be invalid come June. :D

(Apologies if this has been discussed in recent pages. I've not caught up yet.)

Any way of knowing if they plan to shift or merge tickets? To me, if there’s availability for 2/3 of the ticket levels they’re potentially leaving money on the table by not inviting AP’s to come and spend money on food, drinks and merchandise.
I think they may do once they let existing guests book. But it will also depend on how many more bookings they take for 2020.

Personally I had hoped WDW would have done what Shanghai have done. Extended the APs by as along as reservations are required. I assume they’re rolling the date forward by a month at a time.

Disney Parks Pass opens for regular tickets completing the roll out to all guests
seems incorrect to me. I know the rollout is available for all the categories, but there is still a chunk of people who can not use it. Those of us with DVC reservations (and I assume some resort reservations) that still can not use it because we don't have tickets. Therefore, to me, it is not rolled out to all guests because some guests can't reserve anything.

We have Hotel, Park Tickets and Park Reservations for late next month. We had purchased park hoppers before the Virus arrived, and were due a credit. Using the chat feature on waltdisneyworld.com, we (yesterday) chatted with a CM to see if we could change our 7 day tickets to 8 day tickets, and get a credit for the park-hopper. The chat feature allowed us to schedule a call back, which I highly recommend, as we received the call back within 15 minutes of our request. As for the changes we wanted to make, we were told it wasn’t possible yesterday, but today the ability to change tickets would be opened up.

This morning, we used the chat feature again, scheduled a call back, which took less than 5 minutes. We repeated the questions from yesterday, were again told it wasn’t possible, was transferred to a ticket specialist, who told us we would need to check with guest relations when we got to Orlando about the park hopper payment, and that adding a day was not possible. So with everything going on, we accepted this as the way to go, and put it on our things to do when we get to the parks......

About 15 minutes ago, I received a call from Disney Guest Relations (unsolicited) as a follow-up to yesterdays / this mornings call. The Cast Member converted our 7 day ticket to an 8 day ticket, and refunded the park-hopper overage. While I was on the phone, with the CM, I was able to go to MyDisneyExperience, and added a reservation for our first day to Epcot. Simple, easy-peezie.

If you are frustrated with getting through on the phone to Disney, I recommend you use the chat feature. Also, Disney (at least for us) tracked our inquiry over the last two days and made the changes which were not suppose to be possible. Not sure if it was the park-hopper issue, or the request to add a day which got the call back, but the interaction got us what we were trying to arrange, the refund and the extra day in the parks.
Wow, now I'm frustrated that I waited a total of 7 hours to be told that I cannot do what you just accomplished? I have resort reservation for 4 nights and a 3 day park hopper. I've been asking to have it increased to a 4 day and remove the hopper for credit and keep getting a hard no. What gives?

Ah....this is so much fun.
So, got on Chat fairly quickly this morning, to add a pass for our arrival date in Sept, since the error message on previous attempt was that we'd met our maximum number of passes. We had 7, at that time total for our 2 resort trips (we are APs). CM said our reservation was not linked. Hmmmm....it was before. Anyway, got arrival day.

At the same time, I was able to get passes for our Jan visit....except the last day. Error message the same- we'd hit our limit. Waiting for Chat again.....

Well, it seems the computers at WDW are being "Magical", as my Chat cm said, in lieu of answering what had been wrong with my MDE account. At any rate, I got my last pass, so hopefully that is it for me. I have a total of 13 passes over 3 resort visits, so it was not a matter of maxing out our passes.

If anyone is having the same issue, I'd advise Chat- only waited 15 minutes for both Chats today. Chat on the Help page was always grayed out, but by going to the WDW home page, the Chat box popped up, so try that trick if you need to.

First cm said he could NOTmake park passes for me; second cm did just that- made my park pass. 🤷‍♀️ Don't give up, keep trying.

So, our 4 Disney World Gold passes were set to expire May 2nd, 2020. Our understanding was they'd be extended automatically the duration at which the parks were shut down. Come to find our passes were NOT extended, which means we have been unable to reserve ANY passes for the reopening. They are still working on it. Multiple calls to customer service now inform us we can either request a partial refund at this point, or HOPE that our passes get extended soon enough that we have a chance to reserve Park Passes before our annual passes expire at the end of September now. We were also told that if our passes get extended and there are NO slots available at that time, then we are no longer able to request a refund, and are OUT OF LUCK at that point.

Does anyone know how we can find out how many days are already booked up? Without this knowledge, there's no way we can make an informed decision. This is unbelievably frustrating.

We even paid for our passes IN FULL over a year ago. They don't seem to care.

I don’t know why people are willing to pay full price when there’s no Shows, No Fireworks and limited attractions open. I understand Disney is a business and needs to make money but I also believe in great customer service which Disney used to consider a top priority however without these items not operating I feel it’s not fair to charge full price.

I wouldn't really call it "limited attractions"... It seems like very nearly every single ride will be open. I saw a list this morning of what won't be open, and I think the only one I would have liked to experience is the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. I'll miss the parades and fireworks, but having nearly all attractions open is enough for me to pay to go.

@KikoKea are you a annual passholder? Maybe that's what is making this scenario not work for me, since I am not?

We are APs. None of the Chat CMs did not ask about AP, only if we had resort reservations for the dates. Most of our problems stemmed from MDE not having our reservations- or rather, not recognizing them once they were put in. According to MDE today, it showed our resort reservations, but would not let me make park passes at times. Magical IT, indeed!
Have you tried Chat? It is the only way I got things straightened out.

So I have a resort reservation beginning October 19. My Silver pass originally was supposed to expire October 11. I called to have my March credit backed out to extend my pass. Well, Disney didn't waste any time in reversing the credit. But my pass is still not extended. Meanwhile, the park reservation system is now open. Of course, I can't make one because I currently don't have any valid ticket media, with my pass expiring October 11. But I can't get any straight answer as to when my pass will be extended (if I can get through -- I'm literally on hold--again--last time I got through the CM had no clue). Any ideas?

We have APs and do not want to waste them, so we've scheduled 3 trips this Fall and Jan. We can drive to WDW in 8 hours (1 1/2 tanks of gas for the 4Runner) so are not buying air fare or renting cars. While I can't say what the experience will be, I do know that DH and I enjoy being in the park, hearing the music, chilling with a Coke, and taking in a few rides. We are beyond rope drop these days, so amble in no earlier than 11am on most days, and have gone enough times that we will not stand in a hot line for more than 45 min or so (if even that!) to ride anything. We've gone many times and skipped a ride the whole trip because of the line being too long. We also find the resort pool an attraction, and enjoy DS at night. We rarely take in a show unless it is to get out of the heat, so no loss there for us.

I guess what I'm trying to say is there is enough to the parks, even with many things closed, that we will enjoy being there. I can certainly understand how many people will want to wait for the parks to return to normal, and I think it's a wise decision for them to wait. But we feel it is worth our time and money because of our circumstances, and there are others like us.

I hope you can get it worked out. Odd that they have not extended all the passes yet.

I got through to chat and explained the issue. I'm currently being helped--I hope--right now. Meanwhile I'm currently on hold on the phone. Listening to Impressions de France isn't so bad.
