Disney Parades

Oh wow! I have several interesting "malfunctions"!
1) In Spectro one of the Spectroman spinning "pods" just stopped at the beginning of the parade. It took the parade people a good 20 minutes to wheel him off. I felt so bad for him- I'd have been so embarassed if that was me!

2) In DCT, Walt lost his mustashe (sp??) on the bridge between Liberty Square and the castle hub. The 2 people who were pushing his float and Walt were trying their best (and failing) not to laugh. Me and my friend were absolutely howling on the bridge! Also in the same parade, Chip "grew" a ponytail. Meeko and Chip were absolutely dashing for the attendent, with Chip hanging onto Meeko for dear life!

3) I was also there for the "ear" incident. I was "friends" with Mickey and felt really bad. Luckily it happened on Main Street at the end of the parade.

I know this is a parades malfunction post, but I have a couple of show ones too.
1) In C'SC, Jafar had MAJOR hat malfunctions. His hat would either not open, or it would open way too soon. In fact, at one period they changed the part from the hat to Genie changing Jafar's voice! It was really bad!

2) This happened in Cinderellabration. The Duke had MAJOR mic problems. In one show his mic went from him talking to someone else (either a recording or "another" duke. I forget what my friend told me) Then in another showing, there was a problem with the Duke and Fairy Godmother. There's a part where Fairy Godmother comes out to talk to Cinderella and gives the Duke a scroll. Well, she came out late, so the lines were messed up to the music. By the time she got the scroll to the Duke, the music was messed up and the Duke had to improvise. The Snow White music came and Snow White and her Prince
were not able to come out. So when Prince Phillip and Princess Aurora came out they almost collided with the Duke. Ouch!

3) Also, in Cinderellabration Fairy Godmother lost her drawers!

Malfunction?... Don't know if you would consider this a 'malfunction' (I don't- it's horrible :( ) I was there when a float ran Pluto over.
R.I.P. Javier Cruz

(Not sure if that's how you spell his name.)

Yes, that is how you spell it. And I don't know about other CMs that knew him, but it still stings a bit when people talk about him callously...he was like a big brother to me when I was a CP. I remember when I came back for the holidays in 2003 to work, he asked where I was staying, and said "Next time, you're staying at my place. You don't need to stay in college program housing." There was no next time...he passed away 1 1/2 months later.

You said in another post you're 5'2". There's no way you could have been "friends" with him that day. There's no way you can be "friends" with him at all.

Oh, but to mention wardrobe malfunctions...

2 summers ago, I was working there for a few weeks, and saw DSMC. An attendant was going on the route, right next to Bo Peep, and they were walking very fast. I'm not sure if I was the only person that noticed that the attendant was holding up Bo Peep's skirt.

Over this summer, during Spectromagic, Ariel had a VERY Janet-like wardrobe malfunction. One of her shells came off. The entire parade, she performed with some of her hair strategically placed over her shoulder.

Can't think of any more that happened during a parade...I can think of some that happened right before or after.

I didn't mean that kind of friends Robyn. I meant friends as in I knew Mickey that day. That's all I meant.

Oh dear! How on Earth did that happen?

It's a simple reaction. It just fogged up. It may have been that it was a little cooler outside. However, judging by how some of the people are dressed (I have good eyes), my guess would be that when the float came out of the hanger, that it was cooler in the hanger than it was outside. Water droplets condensed against the sides of the globe.

At least, I think that's how it would happen.
