Disney on a dime: Yes, Mouseketeers, you can do it....

Great article but....they had tickets good from 5 years ago, carried in their food for the day and stayed off site. I think anyone could do WDW on the cheap if they already had tickets, carried all their lunch food and stayed offsite. It is the tickets that kill a budget vacation. It is hard to go on a "dime" if you have to pay well over a thousand bucks to get 5 people in a park for 5 days.

I'd like to meet someone that actually does this! Yes, we still have options on our tickets from years past that still give us visits to the waterparks without paying a penny. We bring in bottled water with us and snacks for our ds in a cooler along with his milk, but don't hesitate to purchase our meals in the parks. We've bought food and put it in our small fridge and made sandwiches and ate those at the waterparks and will make them for snacks if we're hungry when we get back to our room. We've also bought a toaster for breakfast to eat in our room to avoid the food court prices. But haven't gone as far as to bring every meal into the park, never buy extra food there, etc. Don't know how people do that!
