Disney on a BUDGET

As I stated to you previously, I did use hotel booking sites and the cheapest it came up was 71 a night plus 15 a night resort fee... I even tried priceline and after sorting every hotel in the area by price it was nowhere to be seen, though I did stop looking after I made it up to the 70 a night hotels because at that point it was not going to show up for any lower price than it had on the other hotel booking sites. I have no clue why you continue to go on about this Crown Club Inn in Clermont since there is no evidence it is anywhere near the 50/night you paid in the past. Have you considered that it may have raised the rates since you last stayed there?

That’s your problem.

There’s no evidence I paid $50 on the past? So you’re calling me a liar. And making yourself look quite foolish.

Can you not read English? I stated quite clearly:

" I have no clue why you continue to go on about this Crown Club Inn in Clermont since there is no evidence it is anywhere near the 50/night you paid in the past."

Did you not see the part of that sentence that said "the 50/night you paid in the past"... It is pretty clear I accepted that at sometime in the past you paid 50/night. I have simply stated that it is no longer 50/night. I checked, checked using priceline as you claimed to have done and it doesn't show up. The only person looking foolish is yourself as you continue to claim this hotel costs 50/night when it actually costs considerably more. Anyone can pull up their prices and see. When you were confronted with that fact you started getting all upset, well if you want to make up stories you should realize someone is going to figure it out.

You’re using one moment’s results in a poor attempt to make a point.

Drop it.

The bigger point is anybody can get a room for $35 to $55 a night with a shuttle almost always.

You’re wrong. Get over it. Move along.

I mean...I guess its doable. But its going to be tight. Check Palm Pkwy or the Springhill on Western Way. If you can get something at about $125 to $140 then there's about $620 to $700 gone (for 5 nights). Even if you scale down to 2 days in the parks - tickets will get you to your 1k.

You'd probably be better off with about a $1300 - $1500 budget. But IMO - it won't be a very enjoyable trip factoring in length vs budget. Cut down to 3 nights and 4 days - with 2 days in the parks.....better - (not great) but better. In that case you might get down to about $1200.

You might want to look in mirror and read that because it fits perfectly with you. You made a claim that was not correct, I pointed it out but rather than admit you were wrong you just keep trying to claim everyone else is wrong. Go read your posts, You were the one adamant about Crown Club Inn being 50 a night... I simply pointed out it was significantly more.

I never made a claim that was not correct. You are truly insufferable.

Dude, don’t go away mad, just go away.

You should probably always use a travel agent, because this doesn’t seem to be your forte.

The place I stayed was the same price for 6 years but suddenly and permanently went up dramatically? Gee, so logical.

You can’t find a particular price right now, so that means it will never happen again. Just as brilliant logic.

How much are you helping the OP with all this back and forth nonsense?

/game.

That’s our most recent stay at the Crown Club Inn, from December ‘16, booked via Orbitz. Another booking via Priceline the year before was almost identical. Other trips were on site.

Last year offsite trips were mostly at various La Quinta, whichever had better rates when we needed, because they take pets. As most people know, rates fluctuate all the time. Rates were similar, in that $50 range, most of the time. I don’t remember if any were close enough to have shuttles. It didn’t matter to us; we had a car.

It is almost always possible to pull that off.

Oh yes, the Crown Club Inn... Even though it doesn't say that.... Let's assume it was for the Crown Club Inn... Fact is that was 2 years ago and even then it wasn't 50/night.. It was over 60/night and this year when you look it up its more than 70 a night. Point is you were wrong and spouting off false information. Now go away and stop spreading lies about deals that don't exist.

Not sure how we got to $50 vs $62.50 vs $64.56. You're gonna have a hard time finding a quality (even average) hotel for around $50 a night if you are going Christmas week, Labor Day, Memorial Day etc.

But $50 -$60 dollar rooms (with shuttle) are readily available in 2018 - provided you have a little flexibility. They're not my cup of tea, but they are there. If you click on the Ramada website for those dates you'll find a manager's special at $52.50 a night. And a little less costly on some of the OTA sites.

So we have some home improvements we want to make this coming year, along with a nearly 3 week trip to Italy in July-August. We are headed to Florida in mid-late January for my mom's 100th birthday celebration. Is it possible to say spend 5 nights/3 days in the park for 2 adults for $1000? We usually prefer POR, but I'd go someplace cheaper. In addition, I'm thinking we'd have to fly to Orlando, take magical express, so we don't have to pay for resort parking, and then go back to the airport, rent a car and drive down to Delray Beach. I'm just looking for the Disney part to be not more than $1000. Am I being unrealistic?
Yes you are - if you want to stay on property, go to the parks and eat.

Well I was hoping someone had some special Disney Magic idea that might make it work. People know a lot of tips and tricks on this website!!
That may be so but they can’t lower the cost down to what you want to spend given length of stay and location you’re picking.

Even at the $2000 range is stretching it.

Is your sister interested in adopting any adult children? I'm well behaved and can help around the house.
I'm hoping she'd adopt her baby sister. I'm meeting her this weekend and letting her know I plan to stay at her Boca condo when we go down in January. What could be better than getting up in the morning and looking out of the balcony at the beach and ocean!!

Yeah I know. Our last trip in 2015 was $4875, but only cost me $175 with all my Disney $$$s and gift card I bought at Target by cashing in my Discover $$$s. It took 6 years and a lot of work, and a couple of medical emergency crises, but hey, you do what you gotta do to get to Disney!!
