Esp the NEXTELS! I really don't need to hear everyones conversation!

They do have a silent feature, but most ppl do not turn them to silent. I have one and mine is not on silent, due to emergencies. Another way is an ear piece. All I get annoyed at is when ppl are talking on cell phones loudy or when I can hear the other person talking to the person they are talking to, thats more annoying than the two way, plus its no different than a walkie talkie.

I remember trying to have a phone conversation with someone who was down in the Zoo, under the Castle, and it would drop constantly. Im suprised i didnt get fired for my repeated screams of "Fing Nextel!" from behind MO-7 ....

Nextel is only good within a 3 and 1/3 foot radius from the tower.
New Jersey the most densly populated state IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST for Nextel Service. But you can be in the middle of Texas with nothing around and get full service! :brick:

the more people using the towers at one time.. the less service... got it... texas has a lesser population than new jersy.... and thought NJ should have more towers..... (heck indoors i get less service and i have a aotwer just down the road...

Actually not ture I have had a Nextel for 4 years now and I know where and where it does not work. At Disney I was able to talk in the tunnels on my cell phone this july and august. I live in texas as well and I can go out to my grandparents who live out in the hill country and not get reception.

Don't get me wrong I was just throwing out an expirence I had which should not be taken as the end all be all of nextel or cell phone coverage. Nextel does work wonderfully in Disney, I just wish it would work as well in Jersey.

BTW has anyone seen any COWS on property?
