Disney needs to step up its Story telling game… it’s weak right now

I disagree. I think Eternals is better than The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, the First Avenger, Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Iron Man 3, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Shang-Chi, Spider-man Far From Home, Avengers Age of Ultron, Avengers Endgame, Thor: Love and Thunder, and all three Ant-man films.

i didn’t create a. Dungeons and Dragons thread. Hear that’s a solid flick though.
It’s not trolling… I’m upset Disney’s quality has been inconsistent since 2020.
Hopefully new flicks this summer pulls them out of their rut.

Well this is a matter of opinion which is subjective. As some of those I think have good storytelling in them.

However overall it comes down to the screenwriters and directors. Disney needs to get back to hiring better screenwriters and directors instead of trying to go with cheaper less experienced ones.

Well I hope eventually we get over the classic Igerian excuse:
“Well somebody liked it…therefore it can’t be bad”

That has lead us to the frankly bad spot Disney is in. They’re floundering all over the place.

Flaming crap is flaming crap…even if a 6 year old cheers and buys a toy.

Probably should just revert to the old definition of “good”…If it overperforms financially and has staying power/longevity.

The problem wish Disney management is the Iger culture is bad. It was a ticking package and now you see what you get? The Walmart approach to IP. Bottomline, bland and not creative

I watched Luck on a plane the other day. It had some animation issues, which I assume are due to it being a start up animation studio... But you can tell behind some of the blindness that there was a really intriguing story and interesting ideas behind it. I will say that emotionally it tugged more than turning red or strange world. Considering it was along the lines of inside out with its world building concepts... it flushed them out and made that world much more interesting than what soul did with its world.
