Strange World

Turning Red

Lightyear

Pinocchio

Thor: Love and Thunder

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Eternals

Mandalorian season 3

Book of boba Fett

These stories above aren’t very good. What has happened to Disney? When is there A game coming back?

Well this is a matter of opinion which is subjective. As some of those I think have good storytelling in them.

However overall it comes down to the screenwriters and directors. Disney needs to get back to hiring better screenwriters and directors instead of trying to go with cheaper less experienced ones.

Agree. I have no idea what has happened but across the board from Pixar, lucasfilm, disney animation the overall product has been very mid post 2020. Example is Superman 3 level quality compared to Superman 1&2.

Disney can’t keep throwing out average films like the ones I listed. Too
Much talent on the payroll.

Encanto was awesome. Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, elemental, guardians need to be exceptional.

Mandalorian season 3 is just middle of the road. This is a Disney plus tent pole. What the heck has happened?

Sorry but I wouldn't call anything Disney has put out over the last couple years as bad as Superman 3.

@CinematicFusion Why don't you write some stories and try submitting them to Disney and see what happens.
You know those movies I listed are average. Crazy how people give Disney so much leeway.
Something seems really off with their story telling chops recently.

Is there infighting with the creatives. Marvel and Star Wars feel completely lost at the moment.

Eternals was beyond terrible. Richard Pryor at least helped save Superman three a little.

Still time for Disney to
Turn it around. Indiana Jones, haunted mansion guardians should be exceptional. Let’s hope they are

Did I say $250M budget for it, no. I'm very on the record on this board for saying that Disney, especially Marvel, needs to bring down their budgets.

Would I green light a $250M Eternals 2, no. But I would green light a $90-$120M Eternals 2.
Fair enough. Disney has been throwing money at movies like crazy. I think that is one of the things that has hurt movies like Eternals, Antman. It feels big and bloated and not intimate enough.

You can have 90 million for your Eternals project :)

So you want a sequel to Eternals? That movie needs to disappear.
Eternals was mediocre but it was more boring than bad. Its at least a competently made film but wasn’t interesting. It’s easily the worse MCU film but I think it’s better than a bunch of DCEU films and dreck like Fant4stic.

I wouldn’t mind a sequel if it had more action and plot that moved along; the surviving characters were interesting enough if properly developed.

Yea there's a whole defend Disney no matter what around here. Disney is in a real creative low point right now and most can see it. But for whatever reason there's a bunch who I guess think they're a bigger fan if they agree with everything Disney does.

It's just laziness in my opinion. At least if the budgets were in check you could say they were cheaping out. But these massive 200+ million budgets basically means you need it to be a monster hit.
