I have tried to understand subsonic radio for awhile now...how does it work?

I did have the same problem with mousebits before I learned about torrents.

Radiohost:cool:

Download Winamp. Windows Media Player doesn't work as well as Winamp before anyone asks.

Go to the site, click playlist (the list of everything there is to request). There is a point system though (the total number of seconds in the track is the total for said track so the longer the track the more points it is), but if you register at the forums and post in a thread your point count goes up by ten (100 posts = 1000 points to use, I think you start off with 2000). If you don't want to request anything or don't want to register at the forums, just click on requests (everything from monorail dialogue and attraction themes to full attraction recordings and parades from most of the Disney Resorts), Background (background area music only), Soarin' (queue music for that attraction), and Star Tunnel (Space Mountain queue/attraction sounds) and Holiday (background music you hear at the World during the holiday season). You can even see what is currently playing and what is due up next with the "now playing" option.

Either way, whether you want to hear something or are just in the mood for Disney park music, it is a great option.

Thank you for the link!! I also saw the Wishes CD, but is it just wishes or is there other park music on it? Anyone know? I hate to pay 15.00 for the Wishes song. :lookaroun

I know what you mean. I bought a whole bunch of CDs when I was in WDW in January and DLR in February.

-Disney's Animal Kingdom (Mostly background music from the Tree of Life)
$18.98, 17 tracks, 52 minutes
-Fantasmic! (Has WDW and DL versions)
$14.98, 3 tracks, 53 minutes
-Four Parks - One World (The Official Album of WDW, 2008 release)
$29.98, 2 discs, 37 tracks, 151 minutes
-Illuminations: Reflections of Earth (2001, not sure what version of the show this would be)
$14.98, 4 tracks, 42 minutes
-Magic in the Streets: Parade Memories
$19.98, 8 tracks, 71 minutes
-Magic Kingdom Event Party Music (MNSSHP, Pirate & Princess Party, various others)
$24.98, 27 tracks, 73 minutes
-SpectroMagic
$19.98, 1 track, 14 minutes
-Wishes
$19.98, 10 tracks, 20 minutes
-Disney's Electrical Parade (Says its the original version...expensive, but worth it!)
$14.98, 1 track, 11 minutes
-The Official Album of the Disneyland Resort (has only 7 songs that are duplicates of the WDW album...nice that it has the DL version of Splash and Winnie the Pooh and the WDW album has the WDW versions)
$29.98, 2 discs, 32 tracks, 154 minutes
-The Haunted Mansion (Theme Park Soundtrack)
$19.98, 11 tracks, 47 minutes
-Pirates of the Caribbean (Theme Park Soundtrack)
$19.98, 25 tracks, 53 minutes

There's a lot of good stuff to buy in the parks. Unfortunately most of it is overpriced, but if you love the music like I do you have to buy it. Or steal it, which I prefer not to do. I do get a lot of stuff off of mousebits, but its all stuff they won't release like complete area loops. Fine moral line, maybe, but I feel comfortable about it.

All the stuff I listed was in the parks in Jan./Feb., so I'm sure you can call and order any of these. The prices I listed are what I remember paying, so they may not be 100% accurate. The only one I couldn't find (and I don't know if they make one, but I assume they do since they make one for Wishes) was for Remember...Dreams Come True, the DL fireworks show.

I love the Finding Nemo The Musical album. You can get it off iTunes for cheaper than at the parks.

I bought Big Blue World from iTunes for 99 cents! While I would love it all, the only music that I really want for now is Wishes, so I may break down and get that one. I also love the song from the opening of the Magic Kingdom. If I could only find the two of them on one CD, that would be great.

Can't you take the songs from your CD's and upload them to itunes & then burn a new CD with all of your favorite songs on it? This is what I am trying to do. Mind you.... I have no idea what I am doing.

Out of all of these CD's, which one is your very favorite? Like if you could only buy one, which one would it be?

Another question for anyone.... what is a torrent, and are they legal? I don't want to do anything that I will get into trouble for. :veryconfu

My favorite? Well, I guess if I could only buy one it would be the Disneyland Resort double-cd. There's so much good stuff on there, and most of the must-haves from the WDW album are there too. But I get all sentimental when I listen to the Electrical Parade one, because I remember watching it as a kid when it was the Main Street Electrical Parade in WDW.

Torrents are a way of distributing files over the internet. Bunches of people (anywhere from 1 to infinity theoretically) have the file, or parts of the file...a torrent client would download the parts you are missing from those other people, and simultaneously allow others to download the parts they are missing that you have from you. Torrents are not inherently illegal, but yes, technically if you are sharing copyrighted anything its illegal. Morality and whether anyone would bother you about Disney park music is another question that I won't get into.

I'll stick to the CD's. :ROFLOL:
