Even if the stories are sometimes lacking, the artistic beauty of the animated films are always a draw for me. And with the live action films, there's some nostalgia about the old-school films that you used to see on the Disney Channel or rented on VHS. The first time I saw Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier, I was six years old and my elementary school had a family night, so we watched it projected onto a big screen in the cafeteria and ate popcorn from huge trash bags.
Anyway, my picks.
The Black Cauldron - So beautiful and ambitious. And scary.
Babes in Toyland - Because Annette and Kevin and Tommy. And it's like walking into Fantasyland.
