Disney Misheard Lyrics

A couple of times on various trips, I've heard songs in attractions and I've misheard the lyrics with hilarious results. Below are my two examples (misheard bits in bold):

From the Haunted Mansion:

Now don't close your eyes,
And don't try to hide.
Or a silly spook may sit by your side.
Shrouded in a daft disguise,
They pretend to caramelize.
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize.

From Splash Mountain:

How do you do?
Fine, how are you?
How you come on?
Pretty good - show us your balls.

Any one else have any misheard lyrics they want to share? Doesn't have to be from an attraction - could be from a movie.

You mean its not, "show us your balls"? How many people have heard me sing that?

We'd been listening to the Aladdin soundtrack and while there is a fair amount in that sound track that Robin Williams/Genie says at a pretty rapid pace (and often in some sort of accent/voice), a portion of "Friend Like Me" always tripped me up when I was trying to sing along... wasn't really a misheard lyric... I just had no idea what he was saying, so I'd just sort of mumble along... anyways, the verse apparently goes...

"So don't just sit there slack-jawed, buggy-eyed,
I'm here to answer all your mid-day prayers,
You've got me bona fide certified;
You've got a genie for charge d'affaires."

How do you do? Mighty pleasant greetin'
How do you do? Say it when you're meetin'
How do you do? With every one repeatin'
Pretty good sure as you're born.

According to the Oh My Disney blog, the lyrics in "A Whole New World" are "Every moment red letter" instead of "Every moment gets better".

That is the actual lyric, believe it or not.

From Merriam-Webster:

red–letter
adjective red–let·ter \ˈred-ˌle-tər\
: of special significance

The term originated from the old practice of marking holy days with red letters in the calendars of the church.

I'm a big fan of Channel Awesome, a website where various nerds review things (i;e Nostalgia Critic, Atop the Fourth Wall, Music Movies, and even a theme park reviewer who goes under the name Some Jerk with a Camera). Anyways, one reviewer, known as PawDugan, has a series called "Music Movies", where he movies that have varying degrees of music in them (he reviews movie that have at least five songs in them). And his review of The Lion King begins with his take on that infamous chant...

Nazivania!
Mama ditch the baba!
() boom. Venn ya mon. (Venn ya mon.)
Nazivania, We're back in key, See the ball (City womb)
Hem hem mama
Hide a vase (Venn ya mon.) Scene immobilized (Venn ya mon.)
Penguin yawner, penguin on my bottom
Penguin yawner, penguin on my bottom
Penguin yawner, penguin on my bottom...

Yeah, I don't doubt that. It's just strikes me as an awkward turn of phrase, from a lyrical standpoint. "Every moment gets better" actually works a lot better, which is probably why everyone makes the same mistake.

Problem is you are trying to rhyme with the previous refrain and if you use "every moment gets better" you are rhyming "gets better" with " gets better"...

Princess Jasmine: A whole new world
Aladdin: (Don't you dare close your eyes)
Princess Jasmine: A hundred thousand things to see
Aladdin: (Hold your breath, it gets better)

Aladdin: A whole new world
Princess Jasmine: (Every turn a surprise)
Aladdin: With new horizons to pursue
Princess Jasmine: (Every moment red letter)

I always thought in Splash Mountain it said:
Pretty good show us your bone.

Me too...

On a Disney cruise this summer, one of the show sang the Circle of Life: "It's the circle of life, and it moves us all". I've heard that song for 21 years now and I never knew what that line was.
