Women's shoes have the same issue. Men can get a $400 pair of shoes (on sale for $200) that will last 25 years. A woman's $400 pair of shoes will fall apart in the same amount of time as a $29.99 special at Kohls.
Idk about men's shoes, but there's no way I, as a woman, would spend $400 on a pair of shoes. That's just a waste of money.

I would, however, spend $30 on a pair that's been marked down from, say, $50. I routinely spend between $40-$60 on good quality shoes, depending on their use. If you're going below $30 (regular priced) for heels, you're just asking to hurt your feet.

Materials make a difference. There are very few if any D&B products that are anything but leather-trimmed for the past few years, most are impregnated cotton or pleather.
My mom has a D&B. It's an Orioles one that my Dad found for her that was about $80. It's a nice purse; no way would I pay $250 for one.

It's the opposite of a waste of money. I used to wear $80 dress shoes that would wear out after about 6 months. I invested in a few pairs of actual high-quality shoes that are going on 8 years and still look absolutely brand new. $400 every 10+ years is a lot cheaper than $80 every six months.

I buy sneakers for around that price but they're not "good quality." They're mesh and foam and made in a third world sweatshop. But no sneaker is going to last as long as a welted full-grain dress shoe, so sneakers aren't something to spend money on.

Yeah, I haven't found any decent looking shirts in some time...It's like when you go into imageworks store expecting Figment Merch but, it's nothing but Pixar related things..
I was just there, and they had quite a bit of Figment merch.

Mind, I also saw plenty of random merchandise where it did not belong. The pirates gift shop was VERY empty. We thought it was very odd to see it so empty.

Oh, here's one that was totally wrong: the Animal Kingdom gift shop had Haunted Mansion merchandise.

Yeah, for men I can see that. My dad is a lawyer and I know he spends good money on his suits/shoes. For women, we can get away with much lower priced options.

Especially me since I work from home and my shoe choice 80% of the time is sneakers.

Good men's shoes can be resoled almost forever (as long as you do not wait too long to resole them)

Unless you abuse the heck out of them, a good pair of men's shoes should last you at least until they go out of style and back in again.

And if you make the change to boots, as long as you stay in the South, you're good for life!

I'm liking the 2023 style of merch so far.

I also like the art deco(?)/ old Hollywood aesthetic for the 100 year celebration. I know others don't, but I like the colors.

For me, it's just super feminine and colorless. White, silver, and pastels... it's completely desaturated. Like a baby girl's nursery in a rich person's home.

Well, im super feminine so... 😂
The silver/platinum and the purple are what give me the art deco/old Hollywood vibes. Plus the outfits for Minnie and Daisy.

Honestly the only thing I would buy is the light blue 2023 hoodie. Love that thing.

Sounds more like something you want removed after a colonoscopy rather than acquired.

I dunno. It seems they've swapped out the 50 blue for the 100 purple.
