:joyfull: the good old days of TV show animation. Now combined that with Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers and you have my early childhood right there.

It would be an interesting merger..Ever since Roger Rabbit happened it still amazed me when The Daffy/Donald & Bugs/Mickey scenes came up in the film..

Disney, along with Marvel, Star Wars, and potentially WB with DC, would only need to buy out Wizards of the Coast (previously TSR) and they would pretty much own my childhood.

See, I'm not crazy! Lol

When I predict things, it may not happen right away. This is just a logical move, if Disney wants to remain in the game.

I have a hard time seeing this since Microsoft may be looking to sell X-box Entertainment Studios to Warner Bros according to Forbes.

This makes logical sense. If you follow big mergers like this, you will see that sometimes smaller deals precede a bigger deal. For example, Adelphia Cable traded systems with Comcast before Comcast and Time Warner Cable made a joint bid for Adelphia Cable and split it between them. Now, Comcast has made a bid for all of Time Warner Cable.

It would be a shock if it would happen...Just think of what can happen to the Warner Bros licences used at the Six Flags parks..They would have to be either removed or altered to allow them to be used in the park if Disney sees fit to keep them there..

Good... maybe that Bugs Bunny garbage would have to be removed from our Cave at Six Flags Over Texas and the Speelunkers could return to their rightful home. I would absolutely love to see Looney Toons and DC Comics leave the park.

I had wondered if they might go smaller and buy Hasbro. I don't know how Transformers would shake out because well, they're also at Uni. But taking a smaller (not in the normal scheme but in Disney money) company that also manufactures toys? Plus there was a My Little Pony (pre-new version) like the Mr. Potatohead bucket of parts/costumes that I remember years ago being sold. I think Hasbro owns the Potatoheads and some of the other non fictional toy brands in the Toy Story movies.

Well, Hasbro itself is already a Monopoly™ of the toy business.

The only reason the Looney Tunes were brought to the other Six Flags parks was when they Bought both Marriott Great America parks. They were the only parks that obtained the rights until the 1984 Buyout and then the Licence agreement went through to use them at every Six Flags Park.

If Comcast somehow gets Time-Warner this would be Disney's reaction to that merger and would make the Comcast purchase look foolish.

Cry all you want about Iger, the man is a brilliant businessman.

Oh, and Iger is many things. Brilliant wouldn't be one of them.

Lol, says who? You?

The Star Wars purchase alone has set the company up for decades. The stock has never been healthier and should split within two to three years. Marvel and Picard are profitable blank checks.

Yeah, Iger sure has no clue.

I suggest you get off your lame soapbox, its getting old.

"Set the company up for decades"? Well, that remains to be seen. I wonder why 20th Century Fox didn't buy Lucasfilm, if it's such a great investment and all.

Lucas never offered it to them. Iger got the deal because he has built a friendship with Lucas that goes back since the days Iger headed ABC. Lucas felt he could trust Iger to handle his creations respectfully.

Not happening, which will make one dear O-Town fanboi upset since he's been trying to sell me on this for the last year.

I wouldn't say he's not brilliant. He's smart in his own way. He knows how to close mergers. He's been doing it since his days at ABC. Don't forget that it took two to close the Disney-ABC deal!

I don't see this being a merger like Disney's ABC-Cap Cities deal. I see it as either an all-out takeover (Time Warner becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Disney Enterprises) or Disney will team up with another player (such as Viacom) and bid on Time Warner jointly and split its assets 50/50 between them.
