Information changes as circumstances and science evolves, and some people choose to interpret that as a lack of clear facts, which is unfortunate. It certainly doesn't help that there's been a lot of deliberate misinformation out there since the start. There are, however, clear-cut, non-political, easy-to-understand facts available to everyone equally. Yes, we do know.Just because we or the media say it’s fact doesn’t mean it is fact. We don’t know
I certainly wouldn't assume it is everyone, but there is certainly a significant enough percentage of the planets population that really only really considers themselves.
I dare you to bring up the, now credible, covid origin theory.Just because we or the media say it’s fact doesn’t mean it is fact.
You mean the “likely” fact that was portrayed as fiction because it didn’t fit the narrative from the media which is another reason why we don’t know what to believe or who to trust. The media is probably more to blame about alot of this than anyone.I dare you to bring up the, now credible, covid origin theory.
Passports cannot and will not be a possibility, as evidenced by the many states who currently legally prevent them.

Masks help prevent the spread of disease. Including Covid.Like?

Vaccines are extremely effective at preventing the worst effects of Covid.
Social distancing and handwashing/sanitizing are effective. Always have been.
Somehow these things are considered controversial or questionable by some people. They aren't. They are facts.
No one is questioning those facts, they are questioning how those facts apply to the current situation.Masks help prevent the spread of disease. Including Covid.

I would argue that a huge segment of America's population is questioning those facts. No one is questioning those facts
Ehh, handwashing is overrated. Most spread occurred with droplets. Once that was determined, I stopped washing my hands period....No one is questioning those facts, they are questioning how those facts apply to the current situation.
Can't require for entry in Florida. But CAN require to experience attractions. I like that oneJust my family... fully vaccinated. If we MUST mask outdoors at WDW, we we will cancelling our NOV 2021 trip.
Already booked for APR 2022.
As a private business? We would really prefer that WDW implement "proof of vaccination for entry", as has been done in France. Not a demand... a request.
You may want to reconsider your trip then because vaccinated people who aren’t wearing masks can still get and spread covid as well, their effects just aren’t as severe. Here on the ground in Central Florida, almost no one is wearing masks anywhere. Although the numbers of masked have been trending up over the last couple of weeks. But anecdotally, it's the vaccinated who are masking up, while the unvaccinated continue to flaunt their "freedoms" and shoot dirty looks at those who are trying to be responsible.
Our family has a theme park trip planned for the first week of August. We are all vaccinated, including our 12 and 16 year old children. But the current situation has us seriously considering cancelling. Not because masks might be mandatory by then, but because they may not be.
Vaccines aren't perfect. The thought of standing in indoor queues for a week breathing in the air from unmasked unvaccinated people does not exactly sound like a good idea or a good time.
As a vaccinated family we would gladly return to wearing masks if it forced the unvaccinated masses to do the same. Because a strict mask rule for everyone is the only way many of the unvaccinated in our state* will do anything to protect themselves and/or their fellow man.
At this point, if we do decide to go, we will all wear masks indoors. But we do wish those who are helping drag this thing out needlessly will somehow come to their senses. Has a year and a half not already been too long? Or will we be having this discussion another year from now?
(*referring of course to those who could get the vaccine but have chosen not to, not to those who for health and/or age reasons cannot be vaccinated.)
You bring up masks.I would argue that a huge segment of America's population is questioning those facts.
And given some responses here rejecting masks as useless, I would say that some people on this forum are, too.
Unless your family is wearing properly fitted N95 masks you should cancel your trip if you have any concerns. The more I'm reading this thread, the more I'm hoping WDW adds an indoor mask mandate. We are travelling with two under 12 children but I'm not really worried about them at all. If I feel safe travelling with them maskless during flu season which I do and have then it's hard to argue I should feel less safe with them travelling now. Everyone else in my party is fully vaccinated.
But If WDW announced masks are required indoors, then I'd be totally okay with doing that - wearing them indoors in A/C is not a big deal and we are used to putting them on when going in buildings anyway. We can all deal if need be.
but if them bringing back some sort of mask mandate would cause a bunch of people to cancel and make the parks less busy… then I’m all for it. The reality is that I’m more fearful of long lines at WDW than I am of either COVID or masks.
(Though reality is that I don’t see such a rule change, which I doubt will happen anyway, to really cause many trip cancellations)
I would be bothered by an outdoor mandate in the heat of Florida but I cant really see that happening.
