I remember the first time I brought my kids to Disney. It still brings a tear to my eyes. Unfortunately, due to outrageous pricing that chance may only happen once in their kid's childhood. I couldn't imagine wasting that one experience (not to mention money) right now with this mask policy; not especially when it will almost certainly be gone in a few months or so. So I don't think Disney is going to go bankrupt over the mask policy but as you said, people are absolutely (and reasonably) not going because of it.
I think a couple of things here might be getting tangled…
1. around these parts we’ve been talking about how they’ve moved away from the “steady” clientele to the one time or seldom targets for 10+ Years…and that is obviously true.
2. But they aren’t going for the “one time on a budget”…that absolutely is not their goal and doesn’t increase their per guest return.
So both things can be true and false.
